Pound for pound Ian Kidd was one of the toughest defenseman we had. He played the game well, but if it came to a fight. He was one of our toughest.

Watching these games gives me a renewed appreciation for Kidd.    He pretty much was the 1987 d-core.   Not that Baron, Benson, Parent. etc. weren't solid but Kidd was in a class of his own.  He must've been on the ice for upwards of 30 minutes a night.

Great college player...unfortunately did not transfer well to the pros.  Had 20 games in 'the Show' and one year in the 'A'...the rest was in the IHL.

Yea it's not difficult to see what kept Kidd out of the NHL.  For the style of defense he played his mobility wasn't the greatest.

Sioux take on red hot Northeastern in the opening regional game of the 2016 playoffs. North Dakota has not won the championship in 16 years!  Happy 4th everyone!

I have a friend that is a Northeastern fan, and he was absolutely positive they would win this game. We're still friends.....

Yeah, I didn't have a good feeling going into this one.  Then they go out and get the first goal...ouch!

After posting 90+ videos on YouTube and SiouxSports I'm out of Sioux victories.  It's been a lot of fun and I've enjoyed the feedback/comments from all you hockey diehards.

If you don't want to scroll through all the pages of this thread, feel free to check out YouTube...

I have to say this video was really the one that got this whole thing going so I think it is fitting to end with this one.  An all time favorite, Sioux vs Gofers, 1998 at the Old Ralph.

Thank you.

Thank you, Blackheart.
Had to have taken you a lot of time and effort. Much appreciated, a true fan.

Thanks from me, too. I sure hope these won't be needed to fill weekends during what was supposed to be the 20-21 season.

...and we've got 3 local boys; we've got Scotty Dub!

Loved Scotty Dub. Remember the Friday night home game against Gophers. The place was electric.  Scotty and Lou Nannes kid went at it not to far into the game. They said Nannes plane was late and when he got to his seat. His kid was already there. Great memories.
