Oxbow6 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 That was a great college hockey game. Two really good teams. Thome was terrific. Pinto........just a special talent. 1 3
Blackheart Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Any updates on the two DU forwards that were injured?
mikejm Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I have regional tickets for Loveland. Wouldn’t mind seeing UND there, but rather watch them on tv from out East. 1

GoalieMask Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 This marks three straight league game losses for the Pios; albeit against the top two teams in the conference. Beware of the wounded animal. The boys need to stay out of the box, play with intensity, and send these guys back to the Mile High City smarting from a sweep.
Oxbow6 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Weatherby would be a top 6 guy on any other team in the nation.
Cratter Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Lots of respect between these two teams for a "rivalry." Its nice to see a clean game with very minimal after whistle shenanigans. Refs were way too noticeable for me in a otherwise good game.

Cratter Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Thome was solid again. Hope he's able to keep it up through April. There was a couple moments when I wondered, "Why did he do that?" 1

I think he’s playing a lot better because subconsciously he knows he could get replaced by Scheel with one or two bad games, and same goes for Scheel to Thome. Pretty good for the team to have that problem! GO SIOUX!!!

Got him in the perfect spot with the corner official blinded from the play and the neutral zone reff following the puck. If you were sitting in section 110 you got a beaut of a look at it.

Irish Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Nice win - Great effort by Thome. Great character - doesn't get playing time for the first half of the season and works on his game and steps up when called. 1
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Attendance was 11,212 Didn't quite make a sellout. Upper student section was over half empty, with a few empty sets also in the upper corners of the arena.
MDtoGF Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 The student section was not there, there is a party today for students and hopefully the whole thing is full. As to the game, recap and look ahead are below, interesting calls and non calls, the Smith one on Brink stood out to me, diving and taking out a players legs typically gets called from what I have seen. bcblues Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Tonight, lookout for Denver. They are going to be motivated for revenge.

This is a big game in their season to this point, since they now lost 3 in a row (two to Duluth, and the one last night). We'll need to play very well. Win for us keeps us as a front runner.
Siouxperior Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Crushed it on faceoffs. Relentless on the backcheck. Shooting percentage over 17%. Stellar goal tending. Do it again!
