Won the natty with a very talented team (Hak's team), then got bad beat by BU (that was still a drama filled year), last year was terrible, and this year feels worse so far. There is a trend. Cratter Posted January 5, 2019 Share Posted January 5, 2019 We've been told numerous times by some posters here how this team and last years was plenty talented and draft picks don't matter. I would agree that there were more talented forward groups, but the defensemen on that team were great top-to-bottom as well, something that wasn't always the case. Cam played above the expectation level that season as well. Hak's teams just found ways to lose on the defensive side, rarely the offensive side. But, the Denver team, those BC teams, Minnesota, and that BU team were all excellent teams in their own right that produced a ton of NHL talent. The only real head-scratcher that didn't make sense was the loss to Michigan in 2011, but even then it's one-and-done and anything can happen.
