Announced crowd was around 9,000 today.  East side was packed as usual.

First Saturday of October and terrible weather.  I for one was thankful for the Alerus today.  I would guess maybe 3,500 die hards today if we had an outdoor stadium?

And the west side was nice and sparse as usual. I still call for re-distribution of seats; that is, if someone in UND’s athletic department will stop being lazy and do their damn job.

2 road wins back to back and over 10k for the MSU game.

2 back to back road wins would be huge for this team. UND has 0 road wins thus far. If they protect the ball and play disciplined, they definitely have the talent/ability to do it.

@UNDBIZ you like empty seats on the west side, eh?

I know it certainly doesn’t look impressive to prospective student-athletes watching a game in the Alerus Center for the first time.

Love em

Our Hawk will be in attendance against Montana State.

mascot

Hometown: Grand Forks, ND
Honorary Graduate From: Hawkademy
Major: Working on that M.D. (Mascot’s Degree)
Relationship status: Single, not looking, in love with University of North Dakota
Primary activities: Soaring, perching, hunting and, mostly, cheering on North Dakota!
Favorite food: Bison burgers, coyote chowder and jackrabbit jerky
Hangouts: North Dakota sidelines, stands, rafters (hawks are drawn to anywhere with a “bird’s eye” view) and especially loves spending time in the kid’s zone
Favorite pastimes: Giving high fives, dancing to our fight song and, of course, posing for pictures with fans
Study habits: Hits the books at Starcher Hall, regularly frequents IT department to replace missing computer mouse...
Most loved holiday: North Dakota homecoming and “Hawk”oween
Frenemie: Goldy Gopher; at least we both wear pants.
On a personal note: Nothing scares The Fighting Hawk, not snow, ice, lightning or thunder. Especially not Thundar.

Oh c’mon it’s not that bad. Tough (inept) crowd.

You really gonna call others a tough crowd?

Yes. Give the Hawk some love. I like the idea of a mascot. UND - despite all it’s holier than thou glory - is not above the mascot gig.
