Sometimes opportunities fall in your lap if you are in position to take advantage.

Kennesaw State fired Brain Bohannon today.

He is 53.

He started the Kennesaw State Football Program from scratch in 2013, started playing in 2015. Went 71-30 in FCS, National Coach of the Year in 2017. Went 5-4 in the playoffs, twice advancing to the quarterfinals. Is 1-8 this season as they are transitioning to FBS.

He's a disciple of the Reformed Church of the Triple Option, the flex-bone, what Army and AFA run.

@geaux_sioux tells me it's an offense only Joe Protheroe (Cal Poly) can love. ;)

I think UND needs a younger coach to relate to the younger generation. JMHO.

Not a bad concept at all, especially now in the era of NIL and transfer portal. Ultimately, a coach that can install a winning, disciplined culture will be the most successful, as the transfers and younger players still have to fight for what’s best for the team, and strive for championship excellence. In other words, the coach needs to be able to move the players away from individualism.

As of now, I have a bad feeling about this situation. I think Chaves sits on this thing (again) and UND continues to be far behind the other Dakota MVFC schools. Hopefully the next couple weeks changes that…

I strongly advocate that everyone who is willing to post on this board also sends a respectful message to University of North Dakota leadership (athletic director, president).

Unfortunately its reached the point of fans hoping they lose so a change is made. Rock bottom

Don't really have to hope they lose. It's inevitable at this point.  We all knew that the Jacks were gonna win and likely roll us this weekend.  We are 10 point dogs at home against the Yotes this weekend.  And does anyone think we are going to beat a likely 8-3 Illinois St team on the road the last game of the season?!!  This team is going to end the season 5-7, losing their last 5 games.

This thread started in 2018 and here we are in the same spot.

Six years later, scary but possibly we may be in the same situation if/when a new DC is hired and we go through the emotional roller coaster for another six years all over again.

Firing the DC and keeping bubba would be about as clueless a move as an AD could make.

Then that’s what probably will happen.

Who should replace Chaves? As bad as Bubba stinks up the place, this is Chaves mess.  Maybe replacing should reach even higher...  is the president safe from scrutiny?

Chaves started before Armacost, correct?
