Quick easy high completion percentage throws...instead UND was throwing bombs hoping for that home run.

Yet the coaches turtle on 4th and one in certain "go for it" situations.

There's a reason the spread offense has become so prevalent in college football, you're able to spread out a defense, force one on one matches, and pull safeties/linebackers away from the box so that you can run against an unstacked box. The i-form where you bring in a tight end (or two) and a H-back/fullback type, you run into a stacked boss where a defense can throw in bodies and muddle it up. Yes, you can block it perfectly and open a hole but I think you're making it easier on the defense.

We run the ball just fine, it is the passing game that tends to struggle.  Take out the huge sack at the end of the game and I am pretty sure we averaged over 5 a carry.  That is more than good enough but the passing needs to make a few more plays and be more reliable.  Football, like most things will always have trends but it doesn't invalidate other effective types of play.  It comes down to consistency and execution which UND struggles with at times.  Mainly in the passing game and stopping the run on defense.

Bubba wants a power team.  They are as close of being a power team as N Colo is.

Big sky is a finesse league and und was beat up in this league

hard headed coaches with non adjusting ways = Wrong recipe

Five years on “okness “ is enough!  One year of playoffs and zero playoff wins =sad and disappointing

Love you bubba but your loyalty and conservative nature caught up to you.  Its on you

We're wasting the talent we have at rb. Imagine what our running game could be if we had a competent passing game to keep teams honest. The hope going on this year was that Kett would be better than Studsrud. Arm strength wise, yes, definite upgrade. But they share much the same problems, such as locking on to receivers and going through almost no progression. Teams therefore can load the box. We've had success on the ground because of the phenomenal running back talent.

A good OC would correct those problems.

Really makes you wonder how this bunch won in D2. Especially given their lack of success at D1... Lennon too.

Part of the winning comes from the individual and then team drive to win.... happens in any group. Upperclassmen leadership is huge ( won’t go into a high school situation lacking that locally). I really think our last class of recruits has the potential. Coaches need to support and develop that....don’t waste this freshman class!

play calling should have been monitored  by someone from the get go.... these problems were present last season....someone is not doing their job but not sure who

We are close to being 7-2 and 7-1 vs FCS.  Special Teams and OC need to change.

I believe und would be undefeated vs fcs competition if Rudolph was not the OC.  Special teams has been atrocious and has added nothing, outside of two tds vs Weber,  the D can take blame as well but the offensive side, now with a solid OL, is loaded with talent.  In only two games has unds offense reached the average points allowed by an opposing teams D.  Weber is the only team not giving up 30+ points a game.
