So when are we finally going to see this new mascot?  I thought for sure that it would be this weekend at the Homecoming game.  Anyone heard any news about when they plan to unveil it?

 on the back of his jersey the new bird had no name
Yet some fans in the stands found his presence profane

That name, that thing flipped over, gone to the negs
on the PR and the perceive scale to which everyone pegs 
the image in the world.
So Ben got rolled up the and white hawk unfurled 
and Bubba embraced and said it to the world
So that day has come, the new birds take flight
And I watch those Fighting Hawks show off
that North Dakota Might.

Why do I get the feeling that if/when the students vote on a name, it's going to be "Hawkey."  I mean, it's not horrible but seems like they would want a name that is all sports inclusive instead of a name that makes you think of only one sport at UND.

I can see them naming it something like Screech, or Greeny (more reference to the color than ESPN’s Mike Greenberg).

Only can be named greeny if he eats wings with gloves on and his wife won't let me do anything remotely manly.
