Looks like Danny Freund just recently started following two guys that could play Quarterback. Jayden Johannsen from Sioux Falls, he has some sort of offer from NDSU currently. Most recently Danny started following Hayden Ekern as well.  He is a Quarterback from St. Rita in Chicago and is committed to Montana St.

https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/sports/bobcats/football/hs-coach-chicago-qb-s-msu-offer-rescinded-months-after/article_fb9d8a3a-2c40-5a0b-9442-b221a07da6c9.html

MSU pulled Ekern's offer. Can't imagine we'd be interested in a 49% passer with 1 td and 4 picks in 12 games. Sounds like he has potential at safety though.

I hadn't realized that Bucholz was a PWO.  Wiki has been updated.

Therefore, we only utilized 17 scholarships.  We should have at least 5-6 still available.

The South Dakota kid has lots of potential I think. Danny also started following another kid from KC or somewhere like that 6'5" kid but he might be more of a Tight End prospect.

The SD Qb committed to SD state

Matt Campbell from Fort Scott, KS might be getting some interest as QB or TE

Jayden Johannsen is the QB from South Dakota who might be receiving some interest as well

http://www.hudl.com/profile/5373652/Jayden-Johannsen

I know Campbell has the prototypical physical features you look for but Johannsen makes some great throws on the run. He's a bit unorthodox and probably turns the ball over quite a bit but he looks like a play maker.

The more I ponder these 23 the more I think I'm in agreement with those saying between now and February the focus should be:

- a QB straight from HS
- a true NG, preferably someone who could be in the rotation sooner than later
- another safety (a JC transfer would work here)

Frankly, that's it. Focus on those needs.

Disclaimer: I'm assuming there are no departures that create a need.
