IndySioux Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Haha I was just going to ask if I heard that F-bomb correctly. Quote

Not to mention Montgomery. If he got looks last year, his stock is very high. Already three NHL teams with interim coaches, so who knows. 1 Quote
Sioux>Bison Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Congrats Denver. They were the best team all year and deserved to win it all. Welcome to the Number 8 club! Dem Dirty Dogs got what was coming. Screw Duluth 2 Quote

They always win back-to-back titles. 9 Seniors gone. Terry, Borgstrom, Gambrell, and Jaillet are my early departures. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Congrats to Denver...nice to see Hammond able to get on the ice too. Quote

Sorry, but UND was nowhere near being consistently the 3rd best team in the country this year. I'd say the UND I saw in Fargo was as good as anyone. Consistency wasn't there the full year though. I agree with you there, some weeks we looked like complete garbage. Quote
jk Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Although I wasn't pulling for them, Duluth looked a lot like a lot of UND teams in the third, taking the body, very aggressive. If some of those FF's had been officiated like tonight's game was, Hak would have gotten his title about ten years ago. Duluth could have spent a lot more time in the box. Also, besides the running-the-goalie thing, Pionk looks like a heck of a player. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I think Maine could offer Jim Montgomery a million dollars a year to come to Alfond Arena to coach...and he'd say "nope." Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 By the way, while I'm glad Denver won over UMD. It means UND has to win #9 and #10 soon. Don't like UND being tied in # of "Natty's" with anyone. 2 Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Mike Max on WCCO in twin cities just talked about Lukazivich scoring three goals to match his coach Tim Montgomery. Got two names wrong in one sentence. Ugh. Quote
Godsmack Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Question: does the NCHC get any $ from the NCAA for getting two teams in the FF and then winning it all? Quote

And, yes, the other folks on set actually call him that. Quote

Popular Post jk Posted April 9, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2017 Denver was built to repeat, but Nick Schmaltz put an end to that. 6 Quote
Rebel_Sioux Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I don't know that Montgomery will get an NHL offer. What happened to Hak is so rare there are no living coaches who have gone straight from an NCAA head coach to an NHL head coach and if I were Montgomery, I wouldn't leave for anything less considering the job security of successful NCAA coaches. 2 Quote
