If I am not mistaken, UND does field a Division 1 football team. The shots he took at Engelstad and the Sioux name debacle do not surprise me given it is the LA times.

As an alumni of SLU, and former club team player, I think it would be great if they could get a D1 team again. Hockey is exploding in the St. Louis area(plenty of kids to recruit). Chaifetz arena(the on campus arena) is really nice, and has hosted Disney on ice events before so it has the capability. The school would more than likely need a big influx of money though.

While our forward situation might be a bit interesting, I do think our D-corps will be very solid and our goaltending should be great as well. Towards the end of the season and into tourney time I thought our young defensemen made big strides (Peski, Casey, and C. Poolman played well, and Wolanin is a stud). That should help while our forward situation gets figured out.

Keller and McAvoy have already signed with their respective NHL teams, so at least the most talented duo of their "diaper dandies" are gone!

I believe the bleeding will stop with Pogo and T. Poolman signing unfortunately. I hope I am wrong, and Tucker having surgery recently might sway his mind like others have said in this forum. I don't believe Gersich will leave, I think he will come back and build on this season.
