keikla Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Wisconsin has hired two new assistant coaches, Luke Strand and JB Bittner. You have to wonder if they each took the job hoping they'd get a crack at the head coach position next year. Quote
farce poobah Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Can we now refer to UNO as the Baxterds? That's certainly an Inglorious name ... Quote

Sodbuster Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Jimmy Mullin transfers from Miami to Mankato and can play right away next season. I thought that was only when you transferred down a level. Quote
Sodbuster Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I thought that was only when you transferred down a level. And why did he do that? Quote
cberkas Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I thought that was only when you transferred down a level. He graduated with a year left of eligibility. Quote
Sodbuster Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 He graduated with a year left of eligibility. Okay....that didn't occur to me. Quote

AZSIOUX Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Is Eichel going to be back at BU again, or is he gone? Or going to be gone? He will be in starting lineup for the sabres. Eichel just tore up the combine. Quote
stoneySIOUX Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Is Eichel going to be back at BU again, or is he gone? Or going to be gone? I would be absolutely STUNNED .... And frankly, terrified ... If he doesn't sign with Buffalo immediately after the draft. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Based on his maturity level another year in college, or in the AHL, frankly would seem it might do him well in the long run. But his talent level, (and the decrepit state of Sabreville) will not afford him that opportunity. Although..maybe Another yr at BU....maybe another year of BuffaSuck and...... They can land Mathews too.....as a long term strategy, that may be the best play. Eichel stays at BU as opposed to burning a yr of the ELC......2016/17...Eichel and Matthews make impact together. A) He's not going to stay for a degree B) He's ready C) With the risk of injury, however limited, anyone advising him to stay would be irresponsible. Quote

Check out @BNHarrington's Tweet: https://twitter.com/BNHarrington/status/607933651989479426?s=09 Sounds like Mr. Eichel is learning how to deal with the media very early on in his budding hockey career. I'd like to hear how this question was framed. I just don't see him staying. 1 Quote
Fetch Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I have new respect for him if true Got to add hard to believe with all the hype & can't imagine another yr of enhanced hype Quote

I'd like to hear how this question was framed. I just don't see him staying. Yeah it sounds like he has no clue how to handle the media. First he says he's the best player in the draft. Now he's hinting another year at bu is possible. He's a great young player yes. But if I was either Edmonton or buffalo I wouldn't want him going back to college. Quote
