Old Time Hockey Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Maine needs to right the ship soon. College hockey is much more fun when the Black Bears have a quality team. Maybe Maine burned their ships a decade ago? Quote
hrkac Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Absolutely HUGE loss for Penn State. Eff Penn State. It must be flattering for them to have an early departure at this point. Welcome to college hockey. Quote
cberkas Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Rumor is that Jonny Brodzinski will sign with the Kings at the end of the season. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Rumor is that Jonny Brodzinski will sign with the Kings at the end of the season. I'd say that is a reasonably plausible rumor. Quote
ringneck28 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Rumor is that Jonny Brodzinski will sign with the Kings at the end of the season. And he will sit in the AHL for years. Quote
scpa0305 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 And he will sit in the AHL for years. If he can't improve his foot speed you're probably right. However, his shot is NHL ready. I don't think he has anything else to prove at the college level, he's ready to see if he'll have a career in hockey. Quote
NoDakFan Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 CJ Motte signed with the Bridgeport sound tigers. http://www.lighthousehockey.com/2015/3/25/8292541/ferris-state-goalie-c-j-motte-signs-bridgeport-sound-tigers-islanders Quote

Great goalie. Imagine what his record could have been had he had some offensive power on his Ferris teams. Best of luck and congrats on an outstanding career at FSU. Quote
jk Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Ferris had a real nice squad last year and played their guts out in the regional final until they got Gaarder'ed. They probably deserved better that game. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Rau has signed with the Panthers. Wasn't he a senior anyway? Quote

MafiaMan Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Andrew Copp signs with the Jets. Can't find a link anywhere but heard that Red had some not-so-kind comments directed at Copp about leaving Michigan early. Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Assistant swim trainer for San Antonio Please. Diving instructor. Quote

"If you don't listen to me, you won't make it in the NHL." Knucklehead comments. I don't necessarily disagree with Red, but that was a pretty classless effort by him. Grow up. Quote

stoneySIOUX Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 At 105 yrs old, I think Red is as grown up as he's going to get... It's kind of like that scene in the movie Waiting. Red just says whatever he wants because he's old and senile at this point. He probably gives small children the middle finger, too 1 Quote

Goon Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Rau has signed with the Panthers. The Panthers must have needed a person to hand out towels in the locker room. Quote

I don't necessarily disagree with Red, but that was a pretty classless effort by him. Grow up. Red might be close to 70, but he does know his hockey. He did spend 17 years in the NHL. I don't have a problem with what he said. You're also getting the reporter's spin on it, too. But he's right, how many playes go right from college to the NHL. Very few players are ready like Toews and Parise were. Quote
