southpaw Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 this just proves that ndsu is unds frozen four UND doesn't make it to the frozen four. It's more like the first round of the NCAA tournament. Quote
Redneksioux Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Probably because these are HD cameras. I don't believe any of the broadcasting equipment they use in the Betty have HD capabilities. The ndsu vs und game was in hd on midco in gf Quote
jdub27 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 this just proves that ndsu is unds frozen four So Santa Clara was NDSU's super bowl then? They clearly overlooked UND. Or was Western Michigan since they overlooked Saint Mary's and SMU? Quote
sioux2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Box score only says 11 minutes, but it sounded like Hobaugh was out there quite a bit tonight, maybe it was just more towards the end. Looking at the box score, minutes were spread pretty evenly between 12 guys. Jones tried about everything he could. Hopefully just one of those nights where things don't go right. I wouldn't be surprised to see teams throw more zone defense at UND until they show they can handle it. I would also think teams may zone us more to cut down on the penetration of Huff, Anderson, Webb and Hooker but at the same time we can take them out of the zone by draining 3's. We have very good outside shooters in Anderson, Schuler, Huff and Stefen and once they start lighting things up then the zones will be gone. Last night was just one of those games and every team is going to have these nights several times a year. It wont be our last this year but hopefully they are few and far between. Go Sioux Quote
CMSioux Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Games like this are valuable early in the season - reminds them they need to show up every game. That being said the atmosphere was atrocious in that gym, add in travel, the holiday, lots of things contribute to an effort like that - no excuses because the other team had the same distractions but I'm sure the team was not satisfied with the effort either. Who was on watch to make sure the redshirts weren't laughing and the coach wasn't running his fingers through his hair (sarcastic football reference - I promise someday I'll let it go.) Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 So The Dance is NDSU's super bowl then? They clearly overlooked UND. Or was Western Michigan since they overlooked Saint Mary's and SMU? Fixed your post D-bag. Quote
nd1sufan Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 So Santa Clara was NDSU's super bowl then? They clearly overlooked UND. Or was Western Michigan since they overlooked Saint Mary's and SMU? Well Santa Clara is a much better team than Cal Poly, and NDSU beat them at their gym. while UND loses at a neutral site by 27. UND seems to only play well at home. History would tell us it would be NDSU by 40 if they played at the BSA this year. (See SDSU a couple of years ago) Quote
homer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Some real butt hurt still being shown by FU fans from the beat down to start the week. Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Some real butt hurt still being shown by FU fans from the beat down to start the week. lol, just got lots of time on our hands....you know, with the football team earning a bye in the playoffs and all.. Quote

(See SDSU a couple of years ago) Using history as an indicator, I guess we can count on another second half collapse by Saul's team then? And how do you figure that Santa Clara is much better than Cal Poly? Both teams are 1-3. UND played flat out terrible yesterday against a good defensive team. Edit: Santa Clara was picked to finish 8th out of 10 in the West Coach and Cal Poly was picked to finish 3rd out of 9 in the Big West. West Coast is a stronger conference, but Santa Clara is no where near the class of that conference. So again, not sure what you're using to come up with Santa Clara being much better than Cal Poly. southpaw Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Fixed your post D-bag. Starting early today or just continuing the drunkfest from yesterday? Quote
homer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 lol, just got lots of time on our hands....you know, with the football team earning a bye in the playoffs and all.. #buttfootball.... You guys made it 4 posts. Good job 2 Quote
homer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 We looked better yesterday with Hooker running the point. With Webb's offensive struggles as of late Hooker at least brings an offensive presence and plays pretty good D. Does lack a few skills Webb brings to the table though Quote
Risky Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Bison team tried hard to give that game with Santa Clara away last night. Bison also got a very fortunate call by the officials late in the game last night. Bison fans are actually giving UND crap after we just crushed them a few days ago. Santa Clara is no powerhouse. . darell1976 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 this just proves that ndsu is unds frozen four NDSU hasn't been to the dance since 09....SDSU is more our frozen four than you guys. Quote
UNDsportsFANATIC Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Take the football and hockey references to their board. This topic is about UND @ The Oregon tournament. Quote

CMSioux Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Hey I thought these boards were a place where it was okay to be cynical and sarcastic - I read it here everyday. It's just that mine isn't directed at the players and coaches. P.S. Takes one to know one. Quote
forksandspoons Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Funny how the bison fans absolutely disappeared from the time UND beat their a$% until now.. Quote
UND1983 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Funny how the bison fans absolutely disappeared from the time UND beat their a$% until now.. Exactly. UND loses some random holiday tourney game in Oregon and now they are better. Quote
Shawn-O Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Thanks to the FU contingent on the interest in North Dakota basketball. Quote
Shawn-O Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Fixed your post D-bag. Admins, nuke this f__k. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Fixed your post D-bag. Typical post from a NDSUA&AS associate. Apparently they really have a solid system down there when it comes to educating about appropriateness. A largely unnecessary post like this only continues to discredit the dwindling credibility of the Fargo "school". Quote
