you wonder how much longer that forx realty? (building south of gate city bank) on demers can hold on til...it's really run down and with all the building going on around it  it has a nice location....you would think a skinny and tall (tall for grand forks) almost flatiron looking building right there would look nice.

Grand Forks based Alerus Financial plans to go public with an IPO target of $75 Million.

Not sure why it’s an IPO, as they have already traded on the OTC market for nearly two decades.  It will be listed on the NASDAQ now, but that’s not an IPO but a change in listing. Perhaps missing something.

The Twin Cities Business Journal say Alerus is a now a Minneapolis based company based on where revenue  sources and that paper confirms that Alerus is already listed.

INewz story that Bed, Bath, and Beyond is closing. It's going to be hard to fill these large retail stores. Hornbachers, Pier One, Macys, Sears, and now this one.

It would be interesting to see how far apart they were on the lease negotiation.

Dakota Commercial has more vacant commercial properties in this town than I've ever seen!   Sure they OWN all the commercial property...they just don't want to RENT the commercial property unless it's at "their" rate.   Look around - for example.  Golden Corral closed down 6 years ago.  DC converted that space into a strip mall that has never been occupied by more than a car dealership for a couple months as their location underwent street construction.  They have "space available" signs everywhere else in this town.  Maybe they could have cut Bed Bath and Beyond a break....considering the current retail situation in GF....guess not:-)
