yzerman19 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 You know, rules only apply when they benefit certain people Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That's what is so crazy is we have this math driven...supposively objective system....so that "the criteria are the same for everyone, you know where you stand, there's no bias", blah, blah, blah Slow down buddy...your logic is making my head spin! Oxbow6 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 If Michigan wins IMO we are a lock w them and the Gophs in GR. Quote

yzerman19 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 No number 1 wants Michigan or Sconny right now Quote

yzerman19 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 What about Jan U if they stay at 13? Seriously...WCHA conference tourney winner, WCHA regular season winner, and CCHA conference tourney winner all as #4 seeds if Michigan wins. Quote
keikla Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Seriously...WCHA conference tourney winner, WCHA regular season winner, and CCHA conference tourney winner all as #4 seeds if Michigan wins. That's brutal...I'm pretty sure Quinnipiac is the only #1 seed sitting comfy at this point. Quote
jallengarry Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That's brutal...I'm pretty sure Quinnipiac is the only #1 seed sitting comfy at this point. Which is also a complete joke....the fact that they somehow had a death grip on the number one seed for like the last two months is asinine. They win an average to crappy league. They needed a third game with Cornell to win the first round, then got handled by Canisius. I'm sure they're a nice team and will be a tough out, but they should not have been the clear and away lock for the one seed for so long. It's not like they are that good and there are several teams I'd fear more than them. The Gopher's could have theoretically won the league, and even beaten say a UND and SCSU on the way to a final five championship...had QU lose to Cansius AND Yale...and they still would have lost the top PWR comparison to QU because QU won like 300 games against teams ranked between 20 and 30 and swept UNO. This system needs tweaking. Quote

yzerman19 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 CHN has if different than Moy on USCHO: http://www.collegeho..._projection.php That's because CHN isn't manipulating brackets for "attendance" Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That's because CHN isn't manipulating brackets for "attendance" Attendance will basically stink regardless...but I see what you are saying. My gut says this all comes down to a BC thing in either scenario and whether or not the committee has the stones to ship them west. Moy seems to think BC staying out east trumps everything. Quote
scpa0305 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Moy always seems to be spot on but I don't see how either of his scenarios happens. That second scenario of his is completely ridiculous....that could be a final four. I'm still confused why Quin holds their top spot as they are losing to some of the worst teams in the country. Looks as though BC is a shoe in for the 4. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Providence: 1. Quinnipiac vs. 16. Canisius / 8. North Dakota vs. 10. Niagara I would take this proposed regional in a heart beat Quote

Earler I said that I thought UND was overrated. Heck, Quinnipiac is the poster child of the overrated hockey team. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Never thought I'd accuse anything associated with USCHO of this, but I think they are overthinking the brackets. I'll bet right now their "not adjusted for attendance" brackets are closer to actuality than their adjusted versions. Quote

Frozen4sioux Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 So we are all Notre Dame fans today right... The way I see it its the only way to get into that providence bracket. Although I think the NCAA has a hard on to try to get a UND/gopher regional final. Quote
SiouxForever Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 It would just be nice to get placed in a regional where UND isn't paired with Minnesota or BC. Just once. 1 Quote
