MafiaMan Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Now we need everything to hold form. Seeds would be: 1 Can/Fin Regulation Winner 8 9 -- 4 Russia 5 Can/Fin Regulation Loser 12 -- 2 Sweden 7 10 -- 3 US 6 Swiss 10 Things get screwed up if Russians lose or that Can/Fin game goes to OT. Never loved Oshie until today. Nice! I like the way that shakes out. Sweden is big-time vulnerable. Quote
Ice Arena Man Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Look on the bench at about the 2:40 mark.Number 24, None other than Brett Hextall! Surprised he stayed on the bench, but I bet he was talking the whole time. http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/what-a-way-to-wrap-up-a-minor-league-hockey-game-021714 Quote
Ray77 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Oshie in Sochi becomes an overnight sensation Quote
keikla Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Mario Lamoureux headed to europe to play, I think in Austria. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Dell picked up by the Abbotsford Heat. Hopefully he finally gets an AHL chance to prove himself. He's done quite well in the CHL and ECHL Joins Knight and Trupp........... Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So Dell plays In his first AHL game and gets an AHL start does fairly well. ....cut. I wonder if he was just a quick replacement or for a publicly stunt for the game featuring so many former sioux. Seems like he could have some success at the ahl level. Quote
Big A HG Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Well his terrible .929 save percentage and 1.39 GAA in two appearances clearly weren't up to par with the Heat. Sarcasm. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Mario Lamoureux headed to europe to play, I think in Austria. From what I can find online, it is the same team that JPL plays for. http://www.ecvsv.at/...sv.at/team/ is the team website. You will need a translator to read it...unless you speak that language. UND-RedSox fan Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Looks like Mario had good numbers in the ECHL and even had some time in the AHL this year. What happened? Is playing in Europe considered better than toiling away in the ECHL? Is the money better? Quote

Is playing in Europe considered better than toiling away in the ECHL? Is the money better? So much better. He would be a below average AHL player so it made sense to jump early. He'll make more money. Quote
burd Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 What about Sparky?! Will he never come back? Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 So much better. He would be a below average AHL player so it made sense to jump early. He'll make more money. ECHL money is not good....ranging from 500ish to 1000ish per week...maybe a bit more....that equates to 13k to maybe 18k per season. That's about equal to how much crosby makes every time he washes his vag ....sorry still bitter. ..Olympics and all Quote
Fetch Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Yeah I thought the Olympics basically sucked Quote
keikla Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 So much better. He would be a below average AHL player so it made sense to jump early. He'll make more money. Not only that, but he gets to be near family. Quote

yzerman19 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I laughed at that one too. In Europe, you can make $75-$150k tax free in the better leagues. More in the KHL obviously. F4F is correct in his ECHL assessment. $20-$25k is very common in the ECHL...Kane made more in the CHL : ) Quote
