It’s the inability to reliably punch it in for TDs in big games that has cost us and baffled fans. The NDSU and SDSU games were inexcusable. To be deep in the red zone like that and not get a TD is hard to swallow. Seeing it consistently to me means it’s on the OC. He should look at film from when Danny was OC. He was a redzone master.

Really surprised we don’t see more calls like we did on the 2pt to tie it. Roll Jerry out make it an easy read

Here's a weird one for you:

Bubba did fine. Yet im glad they let him go? Are those competing ideas that are hard to grasp concepts of?

Bubba built upon his predecessor. But after that many years we started to see his peak. And it wasn't very high. He had stalled his progress. Maybe his age? Everyone gets comfortable at a certain age and after so long in a position. Maybe other factors.

Theres a natural process...."yay new coach...now I have to say old one sucks now....then, this new coach isnt new anymore....he sucks now!" Don't fool yourself thinking this could never happen to Schmidt. But we all hope hes so successful he gets a bigger job. (Disclaimer: im not predicting one way or another.)

Nobody knows the future...we're all just enjoying the ride.

Possibly, but if and I mean IF there is a a change, we need to get a quality QB coach in to develop the quarterbacks. Hedburg did a great job of that at NDSU in my opinion.

Freuchte should be on a warm seat at least.  The decline in QB play, schematics(lack there of/playbook), allowing your QB 3 RPOs from the 2, nothing under center punch, trend in INTs, etc. can't be ignored.  UND either needs a new OC or maybe a QB Coach is the answer.  I suppose a couple play-off wins would cure all, too.

Agree with all of the above.  I also wonder if our OL reached their limit against the big athletes on both SU D lines and couldn't move them on run plays or protect long enough on pass plays.
