I'm not allowed to be positive about recruiting I’ve been to Ann Arbor and have seen their facilities. Top tier. Better than ours?…no. But the campus and the city itself is unreal. Coupled with the big program environment (football, basketball etc) just a tough place to recruit against. Add in the fact Ann Arbor is 20 minutes away from Plymouth and that creates a whole new issue. Odds are stacked against us. But we get a few blue chips (typically local or former NHL/UND players kids) and we backfill with late bloomers and we do just fine.

It is no where close to REA unless you like nostalgia. Yost is like Wrigley Field--it is cool, but very old and not really very nice. Maybe that is why Schlossman is going with 30 names, so there will be plenty left on the list when people are in panic mode.
brianvf
https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/30-names-to-watch-when-the-2024-college-hockey-recruiting-cycle-opens Quote This list is a combination of the best-available players nationally with a lean toward traditional National Collegiate Hockey Conference recruiting grounds and players from the area who could be notable prospects. Two years ago, the No. 1 player on the Herald’s recruiting watch list was Macklin Celebrini. He won the Hobey Baker Award as a freshman and signed with the San Jose Sharks. Last year, the top player was James Hagens, who will be a freshman at Boston College this season and could contend for the Hobey. Celebrini and Hagens were no-brainers. This year, it’s different. There is not a consensus No. 1 prospect and scouts' lists appear to vary significantly. The article has a short write-up on each of the 30 players. Wilbur
The Zajic kid is fantastic with the puck....fantastic. I think a potential first rounder when he fills out his frame in the weight room. Another kid Brad didn't list to look out for is Cooper Soller. Later 08 birthday so will only be a Sophomore this year, but the hockey sense and skating ability were among the best on a good Shattuck team.
