Good point.  It doesn’t get brought up enough, but what impact does the lingering Fighting Sioux instead of Fighting Hawks “stuff” and Engelstad Foundation control or perceived control have on this program?  If you are a guy like Raboin, do you want to jump into that, even with a substantial raise?  He will have a shot at big money soon in a program such as Minnesota.

My nervousness from Sunday evening to today has gradually turned back into excitement for next year and ready for what the future holds. Fresh start. Just bummed having to watch the national tournament with no green team. Just want so badly for this team to succeed.

Like Indian scouts? No.....those days have past. #GoSioux Although I do have a vintage Kansas City Scouts jersey I can lend out if that helps.

I'm acquiescing to the notion of Jax; was hoping for a bigger splash. That said, ... 

If he brings Chyzyk as a Dir of Player Personnel role and CSC as an assistant, so it looks like a functional rebuild with an eye to the future, I'd be more enamoured of the thought.

One of my concerns, as @dagiesmentioned, is can he seamlessly shed the role of associate coach, where he's more "advice & counsel", to the HC, where he's seen as the final authority? I would imagine it would seem a little awkward for the players who knew him in a different role before. Can't fall into the trap of being buddy-buddy with the players or they will lose respect for him.

Chyzyk is a class act and smart and great on dev....he's an up and comer for sure

He'll need his "Hakstol / Judy's" moment to switch roles and mindsets. Bubs never did.

He can set the tone right away once the seniors are gone and let them know that some of this past season's BS isn't going to fly.  Playing time will be earned and transgressions related to moral ineptitude will be met with real consequences.

If he can do that without a triggering event (like Judy's) he'd be more 'Dean Blais' than I'd expected. I'd like that, but, I don't expect it. I expect something will happen where he'll have to transform to HC (as Hak did one fateful night) or go down a soft squishy path of less respect.

I have zero worries if Dane can handle the discipline side of things. Can he recruit. We are not skilled enough and no where near fast enough.
