Thankfully we have three months to prepare for that possible match up. If there's one thing we've learned is the Big10 teams that look unbeatable in December continue that trend through April. 2 Quote

Until the B1G wins something in the modern world outside of a football championship, they will be second fiddle to the NCHC. Quote

True (and satisfying), but the Big is very good this year, even with a teenie weenie Minnie. Quote

Watch out for Wisconsin as Hastings gets going. We should have 2 big ten teams in our non-conference every year. 4 Quote

Sioux90 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I point out how good Michigan is, and everyone loses their minds. Comical. 1 Quote

If you let Woofie play down the middle you lose. Make them play along the wall ... well, they don't want to play there. Quote

My point is we’ve seen this movie before and heard this prediction countless times. The amount of times I’ve heard the Big10 conference or a Big 10 team is taking over college hockey and leaving us all behind is getting comical. They split with WMU this year who is currently the 4th best team in the NCHC. Going to need to see more before I anoint them. 3 Quote

Michigan is very good and nobody would be surprised if they beat UND. You said they would “destroy” UND as if it is a fact. People pointed out they have lost to teams already that aren’t at the same level UND is currently at. That’s not losing your mind. 2 5 Quote
atxsioux Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Present day the way all teams have played, Wisconsin seems like the toughest team to beat. I’m thinking that could change in the 2nd half with Michigan state possibly becoming that team Still though, in a single elimination tourney we definitely have a solid shot at beating either team. 1 Quote

Halfway through the season, UND's depth and goaltending is paying off big time. Špun will bring Forks to the Vegas buffet. 2 Quote
Blackheart Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago No way UND could ever skate with Michigan. It’s inconceivable. Quote

Everyone remember the last time UND played Michigan? That ran the whole gamut of possibilities from controlling and dominating them to getting grossly outplayed in the 3rd period. The margins are razor thin and it can go either way. No way to know what would happen right now if the teams squared off, but it'd be interesting to see. As long as UND keeps growing and developing and the young guys continue to improve, by the end of the season I think we'd have a chance against anyone and it would seem unlikely that we'd get boat-raced. That was under Berry. When the team was wildly inconsistent. When the team tanked after clinching the Penrose Cup. The team under Jackson looks and feels 100% different. 1 1 Quote

So far this year, the B1G has more presence at the top, but that will hopefully change down the stretch. BU and BC are bound to show up at some point, but nobody will miss them if they don’t. Nice to go into the break with high hopes. Tougher half lies ahead. Quote
