My bad (now that you mention it I can picture his dad with some sort of eye machine), and hopefully he and his family can enjoy his senior year. It'll be over before he knows it.

I'm fine with this hire, however can someone explain the benefit of going through the expense and administrative tasks of doing an national search when you have the next coach on staff - were they hoping someone better would apply?

Sources out of the OG Red Pepper per @gfhockey say no. Dog and Pony Show. Current rostered players had Chaves by the ball on this one.

Couldn’t have been that much expense or work. It was less than a week from firing to hiring. Accepting online apps can’t be much plus potentially Zoom interviews. Big whoop.

My parents have been family friends of the Strindens going back to Litchville, ND when I used to make myself at home at Strom and Earl's homes and help myself to their candy dishes as a youngster in the early 70's.

Berry was in Green Bay yesterday talking to Zellers. Very reliable source but not sure what discussion was. Hopefully he is helping reconfirm commitments.
