Not sure we see another O-Line commit in the 2026 class. 1 Senior and 3 2026 Commits currently.

How many years has Kansas State been on the schedule vs when the others were scheduled - that might be one reason.

The original contract was signed in 2016 to be played in 2020. With no FCS fall season, the game was rescheduled to 2025.

I thought that a new contract was signed in 2021 that rescheduled the game.  https://fbschedules.com/2020-north-dakota-kansas-state-football-game-rescheduled-for-2025/

Kansas State will now host North Dakota at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kan., on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, according to the copy of the contract amendment. The Wildcats will pay the Fighting Hawks a $475,000 guarantee for playing the game.

The 2025 Kansas State-North Dakota matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

Correct. They amended the date of the game but not the guarantee amount, which is why it is a bit lower than some of the other games.
No clue if UND had any negotiating power on that or both sides just agreed to keep it on the schedule later with the same payout. Given UND was still playing spring football at the time and no one knew what was going on, guessing they both just agreed to move it down the road a few years.

We got taken on that deal.  UND is seriously playing for the going rate in 2016?

I guess they didn’t read the fine print

win and get $475,000 is a good day

When I saw the payouts it was a little shocking to see the differences.  UND could have said NO and looked for other options.  They had a 4 year window to look for other FBS games.  Simply stated this is a failure.  NOTE:  There were a couple of other FCS/FBS games this year over 800K and a couple pushing a $1 M.  I am kind of scared to see what the other UND FBS game payouts are?

They are all listed somewhere around here and all seem to be relatively comparable.

No clue what the scheduling options were at the time or how negotiations went. Most P4's are scheduling 5-10 years out and UND already had its other 3 non-conference games for 2025 full and no FBS game in 2025 yet. Its also one of the few "midwest" P4 schools that UND continues to try to schedule and its relatively drivable for fans.

NDSU had a similar issue with their Oregon game. Cancelled in fall of 2020, amended the contract in spring of 2021 all the way out to 2028. They got an extra $25,000 out of it so didn't fare much better.

Well, they were getting a couple of k more also. "Oregon will pay NDSU $675,000".  All that I am emphasizing is that UND needs to be maximizing all aspects of the program in the new world of NIL.  IMO, they have not done a very good job to this point.  This is just one example.

This should go under the ol everyone is bored and doesn’t have enough real problems list. UND fans and people from Grand Forks in general are always looking for any excuse to bitch.

So true. I've seen it alot especially when teams were losing. People would complain about coaching. Sometimes it's the players that need to take charge and run with it.

Getting 475k from a Big 12 team is embarrassing.  You can file it under whatever you want but it is.

No one was bitching when the game was announced.

How many are bus trips?  Like USD getting 575k to bus to Ames.  The fact this was never renegotiated is astounding.

Don't know? Seems to be mostly in line with quite a few other Big 12 schools, which was the question. Ndsu got an extra $25k kicking a game out 8 years and are still getting less that Youngstown is this year.

Of things to complain about, this seems pretty low on the list
