Before yesterday's MI & WI game, MI's PWR was 8 & WI's was 32. After WI's win they jumped up to 27, while MI fell only 1 spot to 9. Can anyone explain how MI got shutout on home ice to the #32 team & only fell 1 spot? I thought bad losses hurt a team's PWR. Whereas UND loses to BSU & had a major drop as a result; not so with MI.

If not, I’m guessing they delay Heil and it would be Portal/Hobie/Huson. 

I would guess you could replace Portal with CHL. Remember the number of available goalies increased exponentially more so than just the Portal now.

That doesn't answer my question, which was why MI wasn't penalized more for losing at home to a #32 team, whereas UND was affected quite a bit after their L & tie with BSU.

BC stayed 1 and Northeastern with two wins jumped up to 28 from 46

So why aren't these bad losses affecting teams like MI & BC very much, if at all? Compared to UND's drop.

You’re assuming every team is equally spaced 1-64 and that’s not the case

Not that it helps UND….but after last night Denver is 1-4 in last 5 games since beating us …..

Pairwise seems a bit whacky this season. Look at NE and UND.

Because the pairwise still has less than half the meaningful data loaded to analyze.

After the Manitoba exhibition, it's off to ASU (19 pairwise), then Western (5 pairwise) at home.  Then we go to Stearns County for the rematch with the Clowns.  Wonder if Geno Parrish is still working the broadcast for St Cloud.

Getting swept by Cornell and a loss/tie to bemidji are going to continue harming us. It’s going to take a lot more than a home sweep (I guess 1  and 2/3 wins) to level us off due to bemidji and Cornell being less than stellar lately.

Cornell's too talented & experienced to continue being mediocre. Anticipating that they'll put together some key wins in the second half to bolster our PWR if even just a little. Bemidji, on the other hand, pfft...
