This is a type of game that clearly UND needs to experience as they move forward.  Congratulations to the players, coaches, fans in the stands and the fans that stayed to the end of the game.

DU is a great team. They are quick. Even their defensemen. We came back for the win, and hopefully learned something in the process. There are plenty of coaching moments in this game from which to make us a stronger team.

 

Now go for the sweep tomorrow night!

It’s probably been mentioned already but that one reminded me of “the timeout” game.  UND was not about to be stopped in that third period.  DU body language was beautiful if you are a UND person!

Watching the replays.  On the tying goal...James completely creates that goal by using his blazing speed to get the puck around the DU dman and poke it over to Jammer.
Very impressive, really showed his speed there.

Yeah, if only some of the fans wouldn’t think the game is over in the first period when down by a few.  More often than not, the fans melt down more than the players.

You don’t bench a player for a mistake. You bench someone for attitude problems, disciplinary issues, disruptive behavior, unsportsmanlike issues etc but your players can’t be afraid of making mistakes when they are playing hard. You don’t want you players playing tentatively.

What a treat that was. Outstanding puck movement by Denver the first half of the game. Very quick and precise. The Buium brothers on the back end are very good. That goalie is a different story. Need to limit space tomorrow and motor like they did the second half of the game tonight. I too thought the stick raising by DU was ridiculous after goals and had a chuckle when the green men did it in response.

The big difference is this team can score (not like Denver, of course, but by UND's standards), which means they can always come back.  They won't always do it, but they can, so don't walk away.
