SWSiouxMN Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 So the odds of all 4 Dakota schools making the playoffs took a jump forward today. This finally might be the year it happens. 3 Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 3 HUGE games in the Valley next weekend UND/UNI YSU/ISU Red SDSU/SIU Quote

I see them at 7-4, or 8-3. They won’t beat SDSU, but will have a good chance against SIU at home and UNI on the road. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 SDSU USD UND NDSU UNI YSU ISU RED SIU To me: 8 teams gunning for 5 spots. YSU and UNI could be done by next weekend, or this become a bigger mess. Quote

Nodak78 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Grid lead vandals 10-0. About 3 minutes left first qtr. It's on ESPN2 Quote
Nodak78 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Bobby Hauck using way too much trick plays. Behind the back pass. Quote
Sioux94 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Montana beats Idaho in their house 23-21. I said it before .....Big Sky is down this year. I think all four of the Dakota's may be be better than every team in the Big Sky other than MSU. Idaho was supposed to be the up and coming Big Sky darling, but get beat at home by a team that lost to an NAU team that we crushed. Still a long ways to go though, but either way I think that second tier in the Big Sky after MSU is not as strong as the second tier MVFC after SDSU. 1 2 Quote
CMSioux Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Hoping that the comments MVFC Commissioner Patty shared at UND Booster luncheon are followed through on. Basically said that SOS needs to be higher consideration. Biggest challenge is getting the Selection Committee to have more integrity and less back room deals. 2 Quote
Dustin Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 So you can play 4 regular season games PLUS all playoff games and retain eligibility? Quote

90siouxfan Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Is this a mid season rule change, or did some people just notice? Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 So there is the potential of someone playing close to a full season (4 games plus 4-5 potential playoff games) and still keep their redshirt. Very interesting. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted October 17, 2023 Author Posted October 17, 2023 Assuming no prior appearances, the whole roster opens up with four regular season games remaining for as long as the season persists. Nice. Quote

Nice. Since there are 5 regular season games left, could maybe play them against UNI this weekend and sit out one of the other games, like Murray St. or Indiana St. Could still use them for USD and Illinois St. in that scenario. Can't remember who all has played and in how many games. I think Tai has been in one so far?? Could perhaps see a Jerry sighting later in the season, especially in mop-up duty against certain teams. Can't remember if he did against SDSU or Western Illinois. My guess is he was probably in late against Western Illinois which would already put him over 4 games already this season. Korey Tai however is completely different and would be fun to see him play in the playoffs. 1 Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 don't think this rule change or interpretation shouldn't really change much......if Tai or any other young guy is that good why isn't he playing or playing more? nate d...i think 6 starts...0 catches...come on man 1 Quote
