Hulu With Live TV carries CBSSports, in case you’ve any acquaintances who have Hulu With Live TV. (It’s around $80/mo in case anyone is wondering.) Quote

Such a joke that Alaska-Fairbanks with their lack luster schedule is rated like 12th in the PW well ahead of UND. Believe half their wins easily have been vs teams ranked 35 -60 in the PW. Guessing NCAA brass is in on that. Lost a bit of confidence in PW calculation process/objectivity. Quote

To their credit, they went 5-1 against ASU and DU, two teams that we went 0-5 against. 5 Quote

tnt Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I think CC may give Denver a run for their money if they can keep getting decent goaltending. I think their confidence is growing, and both St. Cloud and UND fans will be firmly behind CC. Hopefully a 5 minute major will go their way against Denver. Quote
cowboys5xsbs Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Does Saint Cloud have anything to play for? They seem pretty locked into where they will be come the big tournament. We might be able to get a lead early and have them pack it in for the tournament. Quote

One key storyline next weekend is that Denver is absolutely locked in (100% of all scenarios) as the #3 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and St. Cloud State is nearly locked in (98%) as the #7 overall seed. By contrast, Colorado College and North Dakota need to win two games at the X to keep playing. Dave 3 Quote

You play the schedule you’re given and the simple fact is UAF won the games they needed to, to be in a spot to earn an at-large bid. Honestly, good for them especially with being an independent. 1 Quote
petey23 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 The potential field for the NCAA Tournament is quite a bit smaller after the weekend. 11 teams are in.-- Minnesota Quinnipiac Denver Michigan BU Harvard SCSU Penn State Ohio State Michigan Tech Western Michigan 1 Team will have conference auto bid...Atlantic Hockey Holy Cross or Canisius 2 teams are all but in. Would take an extraordinary set of circumstances to not get in. Cornell Minnesota State 2 Teams hanging on...have to hope their are no conference upsets. For Alaska it also means they need Merrimack to lose. Merrimack Alaska Teams still in contention. Teams with * would be stealing a spot from the teams at bottom of list above if they win their way in. B10 Michigan vs. Minnesota Hockey East Providence* vs. BU Mass-Lowell* vs. Merrimack ECAC Colgate* vs. Quinnipiac Cornell vs. Harvard NCHC Colorado College * vs. Denver UND* vs. SCSU CCHA Northern Michigan* vs. Minnesota State Potential for only the top 11 being in the Tournament. Wildfan Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 In this clip you see the Deritter player down but not how he went down for Klevin interference on 1st goal, but it sure looks like the UNO player gets up and throws Frisch on top of Deritter. He wraps his arm up high and seems to twist to throw him down. Quote

We just basically did not win the games we needed to to be higher in the pairwise. Maybe our tam is not a first or second half team but a whatever you call a team that gets better when the playoffs start. Quote

I am sure a chance to end our season is enough of an incentive for them, just like we would love to end theirs if given the chance. Since St. Cloud has had a stretch where they haven't won as many games, I think they would want to be going into the tourney on a good streak, and they sure don't want to go into the tournament with a "pack it in" mentality, because if they get behind in a tourney game they would have a recent positive to draw from if they came from behind. Also, any kind of championship for them is building to their eventual end goal of winning a National Championship. Quote
