We’re 23 games into the season and our defense and goaltending has shown no improvement, probably has actually gotten worse after this weekend. Don’t see them turning this around. This is all on Berry and the coaching staff. Either poor coaching or poor talent evaluation and recruiting, take your pick or all of the above. Scored enough to win but dzone is a problem and you won't win many college hockey games when your goaltender allows a weak goal let alone 3. Berry is now gonna have the program at a point of missing 3 of the last 5 NCAA Tournaments which just isn't remotely close to good enough. I f you think back to the 2016 team Berry did the prevent defense in the 3rd vs Denver in the semis and it almost cost us the game. I hate that coaching strategy. "How many goals do you think Johnson will give up tonight" a friend asked me when word got out. Minimum 5 I said.....guess I was wrong again.
