I'm a Tommy fan, but we needed the QB to at least be himself. 

He wasn't. 

BUT...he has to constantly run for his life on pass plays other than screens. I talked about 60 on their OL. HUGE guy and never gets beat.

UND needs at least a couple of those guys.

They have 5 or 6.

My guess either we did not anticipate that coverage or someone missed a block. I agree Tommy shouldn’t have thrown it.

They were aggressive to the pass to wr in the flats and with a four man rush and 7 in coverage, a team can do that.

A dominant front 4 can win many games. Especially if a team is forced to throw.

Disappointing day to say the least.  We caught SDSU napping and then pissed it down our leg . Offense was awful after we scored 21.

We blocked 2 or 3 punts. One for TD.  Belquist also ran punt back to about the 10

Silver lining, I guess. We played better than most teams have played against SDSU. Before todays game, here is what they were doing to other teams and what we had today.  
 

Opponent 1st downs 12.4 -  UND 22

Opp.  yds/game  245.7 -  UND  365

Opp. Points/game  13.4 - UND  35

Reason for loss is mainly turnovers in my opinion. When you’re an underdog you cannot lose in the turnover battle and especially cannot give up or lose points from them  

Fist pick 6, second denied a fg, and third short field TD Jacks.

SDSU showed why they are the number one team in the country. Hard to say we pissed it down our leg against a team of that caliber. This is why the game is 4 quarters and not 2!

People are sick of losing and being average. I would rather have that vs. apathy and low expectations.

The meltdown in the 3rd quarter didn't have to happen. That is why people have trouble getting excited about this program again; in the back of their minds, they know there will be a letdown. At some point, we need to have a statement win vs. a team like SDSU. Otherwise, we'll be stuck in the mud forever.
