Wikipedia??? Never learned your reliable sources in high school huh

Well you didn't exactly display a level of wanting to do your own research so I though giving you the link to ActBlue and having to do your own research would be fruitless.

These kids think they are changing the world.  Its fine. It is creating awareness to an issue.

But someday they will have real, quantifiable issues to worry about and not have time to worry about their feelings. They will have bills, health issues, marriage, kids, and so forth.  Which is where I choose to devote my attention the vast majority of everyday.

Thank you, but I have done plenty of research. I consider myself mindful and open-minded. So I appreciate your opinions and I hope you could consider to do the same to mine.

I don't think I am wrong. Actually I know I'm not wrong. If you don't agree with treating everyone as equal what does that make a person?

The Black Lives Matter Org was founded by trained Marxist’s and until recently they were very proud about that fact. Now that they have all sorts of emotional and political leverage over legit institutions they seem to have swept that fact under the rug. The statement itself of BLM is obvious and anyone who disagrees with that as a statement on its own is of questionable character. However, disagreeing with the org and what they actually stand for is an entirely different matter.

Of course I appreciate your opinions, I also consider myself to be open minded. Where I'm going to provide you with some resistance is your insistence that BLM is simply a phrase that aims to bring equality. This is a demonstrably false statement and I would encourage you to look deeper into the BLM movement to better understand it's political aims.

If someone were to ever use Wikipedia to quote or summarize in college they would be a laughing stock by their peers and professors.

Get over it man. You see those little numbers following the phrases? Those are references, click on those if you think the comments are inaccurate.

This isn't even controversial. Act Blue is a very, very well known democratic fundraising platform, it's not a secret they try to hide.

I’m saying If you’re ok with athletes making any political statements, you have to be ok with a player making an extreme political statement that you would disagree with.

Pro-choice? Would you be ok with an athlete putting a pro life message on his uniform?

Anti 2nd amendment? Would you be ok with a student athlete putting an NRA sticker on his helmet.

Its a pretty easy statement to understand. Either all political statements are ok for student athletes to make or none of them are. Which is it for you?

But social justice and inequality are not a political issue. It’s human decency we all should have....

sigh...BLM means two things.

One is a phrase that everybody agrees with, if you don't then you are a racist fool.

Two, it is absolutely a political movement with stated goals that include EQUITY, not equality and "disrupting the nuclear family" and supporting the 1619 project. All of which are highly debatable topics.

And one step away to Biden donation

Word behind the scenes is the donor situation is much worse than has previously been posted on this board. NDSU is losing some major money over this. "Good riddance" they'll say, until NDSU has to start dropping sports and pulling scholarships of student athletes because they can't fund them.

This would be a problem at every major institution in the country, you can't allow NDSU football or any other athlete to make political statements, whether you agree or disagree.

Like what happened at KSU???

When you are stuck in an echo chamber you assume the whole world agrees with your message and are emboldened to speak out without consequence. NDSU is learning pretty quickly that the people who pay their bills don't want that message conveyed on their dollar.

I support many parts of the message that Mr. Lance and others are speaking up about, I disagree with other parts, but that doesn't matter. I don't think it's appropriate to make political statements as an NDSU student athlete and apparently I'm not alone. I would be just as adamant about not wanting them to speak about it on NDSU time if it was a message I fully supported.

Yeah leave out the BLM and replace it with “equality” and there maybe isn’t as big of an uproar. Also leaving out the rapist and the kid killed by a Hispanic also would have helped too. Not sure what he was thinking

Well if you believe it is a political movement I suppose that is your opinion. I believe the name itself spells out what it stands for... Equality not equity.

Dumb statement. BLM is an unashamed Marxist movement. The sheep have been following the wrong lead. Equality is the least of what BLM wants. The cause needs to drop BLM and adopt a better group to lead them.

I believe donations given to the movement are given back to the black community. Do you disagree?

You can’t be that stupid to believe that?!?!? BTW if you believe in equality you should probably change your screen name because it is so racist....

If they want to make a difference instead of just kneeling and marching around yelling at cops they should try working with their legislators in drafting new laws to help fix these inequalities. So far Kim Kardashian has done more for African Americans than BLM had. All it took is working with the other side that is supposedly racist and hates black people. Man these people are pawns...
