ND higher ed administration has been burned by the military academies several times. Can't think of a success story at the moment.

GF Herald has hung around KE McGarry too much. Both think they are president-pickers.

Armacost is a serious candidate.
I don't see Nichols as such. You do not hire Wyoming's non-renewed cast-off, especially when there's swirl of "investigation" and no information. 
Rosowski? I didn't see getting past faculty/staff board members because of his budget moves at Vermont so wasn't on my mind.

Armacost would likely be a poor choice, IMO.  Military admins typically don't know how to deal with faculty and students who disagree with them.
