NDSU players and former players did this with Roehl. In their case, I believe they made the correct decision to hire Polasek.

As for UND, I would prefer them not to hire Fruechte. If they do, he better not retain anyone on the defensive staff and start over on that side.

I don't get why the excitement for leading the program for only a week and then possible unemployment?

Seems to be maybe just creating confusion more than anything without knowing the details.

The way they announced it was weird. It sounds like a lot of people think that it is more of a long term thing. My mind went there right away before I read the press release

Was disappointed that no one asked if this decision was from a talk with the AD or if Bubba just gave notice.  How would Bubba know about this new position before he gave notice?

Can't remember, was there a push from the players for Joel Schwenzfeier as defensive coordinator?  Seems to me there was a push recently from players for an internal hire at some position.

SS.com hasn’t endorsed anybody. It would be foolish to endorse a candidate before we even know who applies. 

That is an example of why school officials across the country aren’t interested in what is posted on social media. We all have opinions but we all have our preconceived ideas (including myself) of how things should be done.  We don’t have all of the details nor inside info.  The vast majority base our opinions on wins and losses and our personal experiences. We get it right sometimes so we think we may know more than we do. 
 

My opinion is that we thank Bubba for his time and stop bashing him. We all know how the how the program has evolved since 2013, successes/failures. 
The most important comments made at the recent press conference included moving the program forward and staying positive. If we don’t want to help be part of the solution, we may be part of the problem. 
 

This forum should be entertaining and at times informative. We shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously.
