Listened to the post game on radio after the game and  said they were calling out coaches after some of the 3rd qtr plays 

i was surprised by the play call on the last touchdown, wasn’t sure what Rudy would call

you can tell we have some leaders on the team , the running backs by the way they run hard all the time 

don’t take plays off

A fantastic win considering that there were zero turnovers and Sam had a blocked punt nearly in our end zone with the defense only allowing a FG.

Offense still an issue.  Calling it as I see it.  

 

 

Not even close. They have some things to iron out still but they have really showed progress and showed up tonight. That game winning drive is the difference between this team that won and the past teams that have come up a bit short. I thought Rudy called a decent game. I would have liked more running and Izzy on the field. If we would have made a few less mistakes we could have made this game not so close.

Hats off to the defense tonight. To hold Sam to those 2 FGs when the !@#$ hit the fan was massive. They held the fort for a long time against a very explosive offense while our offense was trying to get their !@#$ together.

After actually watching the game I have really hard time with this statement.  The second half issues were far more execution than play calling.  Kett was much better this week but is still really streaky.  He missed a lot of easy throws in the second half including a screen that would have been a pretty big play.

The defense really came through tonight, but you don’t normally come out on top against a top team if you go a quarter and a half without moving the ball.  Glad they had the cushion, but it isn’t a requirement to run on second down when you have an incomplete pass on first down.  Glad they finally took a few shots down field.

Their first TD was complete BS. If you pause the replay from the least shotty camera angle you can clearly see a knee, if not both and an elbow down when his feet are still on the 2.5 yard line. Unless he has freakishly long arms (he doesn’t) there’s no way that ball was across the line. I think it would be debatable if it was even across the 1 yard line honestly. It’s not even close.

I really like to see passes out of the backfield to our RB. Establishing the run has really opened the options and Rudy is slowly figuring that out. I think we abandoned the run too much in the game. Hell we averaged god per carry. The only short runs were Santiago. JJ and Oliveira pounded the rock for over 4 yards every attempt.

That PI was also killer when we in no way interfered with their receiver. That was a big play and greatly affected momentum. Best thing is this team persevered and now we don’t have to worry about excuses.

Some guys will complain on here until everything is perfect . We had a lot of questions of the o line but they have proven they can play at an elite level on the big stage. Just need to see them stay healthy

I don't think the OL complaints have been very specific.  Mostly the fans on here want better OL play with very little idea about how the OL actually works.
