SWSiouxMN Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 74-74 UND ball, 55.6 on the game clock. 25 on the shot. Let's see if UND has learned from these situations from last year Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Hooker got the look he wanted, couldn't get it. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 UNF travels! UND will have the last shot Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Hooker going to the line for 2, he got bumped 30 feet from the basket Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Nope, they haven't learned. UND should have won this one 2 Quote
UNDBIZ Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Free throws. Free throws. Free throws. 1 Quote
UND Fan Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Unbelievable - when will we ever win a game like this one!!! 4 Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 UND MBB doesn't tend to win close games on a neutral floor ... which is disappointing considering that is necessary in order to win the conference and reach the NCAA tourney. Obviously too early to jump off the ledge, but there still will be a critical decision coming next spring via Faison. Quote
Dagger Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 FREETHROW shooting!!!!!! Crandall's poor play. The other team got a lot of friendly rolls in the last 5 minutes. Oh well. The very last possession was a mess. Needed a better shot than that. Quinton's free throw miss was extremely huge in the last 20 seconds. You know we are in trouble when our good shooters are missing free throws at the end. Quote
homer Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 This team has to eventually win these games. I can't remember the last time we pulled one out that came down to the last few possessions. Quote
Kab Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Crandall played lazy didnt go after 50 50 balls needs to quit thinking of highlight plays and play team ball rebounds were bad too for us Quote
teamsioux Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Things that never change: -Not being able to win a close game in last minute -Shanks in foul trouble 2 Quote
hoops44 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Drick needs to quit bricking from the line...geno nice 3 steals 5 dimes...guarded their stud player...a couple bad turnovers.... Quote
CMSioux Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Early in the season but dang that was a winnable game - missed free throws, unforced turnovers those are on the individuals. Quote

hoops44 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Jones did not bring in a player to replace adam if Brown is better than Kinsey than Jones recruiting has been horrible last 2 classes... Quote
Sioux04 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Where is the challenge on that last shot? That was way too damn easy. Quote

Another thing Faison will look at among a lot of things dating back to late in the DII years with Jones. 1 Quote
the green team Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 It was said after the game on the broadcast...that they shot free throws all summer, and even yesterday they each shot 50 during practice. The individuals who continually miss, it basically is killer instinct and handling pressure. Not sure how you emulate that, but they've all been in these moments enough to figure it out, and it doesn't seem like they can. Not sure what the answer is? Not practicing free throws, maybe that will work. On a positive note...and I have to at least end with something positive. Cortez Seales, played a pretty solid game. That was pleasant to see, as he has been basically absent the first 3 games. That surprised me that he basically came out this season and laid 3 duds, he had to know that the team was going to need him more this year... but if we get today's Cortez as the season moves forward... that will help. the green team Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Also, if I'm an opponent defending UND right now, I foul Bernstine, every time he shoots it. Right now he might be lucky to be a 40% FT shooter this season. Quote
UND1983 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 I cannot believe Crandall drove WAY too deep again in his game winning attempt. IIRC, Hooker did it three times last year and air balled or missed them all. Just once can they pull up and shoot from 5-10 feet? Maddening. 2 Quote
the green team Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 He tried a pull up against Weber in the Big Sky semis..that didn't go any better. Looking at the numbers we don't have anybody that can hit a 3 other than Hooker...and I'm assuming he was covered in that situation, but I was listening and wasn't watching. Crandall, had already scored around 2 defenders in close to the basket in the 2nd half so it's not like he isn't capable of pulling it off. Quote
