It goes without saying the feelings between the 2 Universities hasn't always been rosy the past few years.  I was hoping with a new President coming in  that we could both get off to a fresh start.   McFeeley looks like he is going to do his best to see that doesn't happen.   If it is not Chapman and Bresciani, now we have McFooley trying to stir it up again.

I am sure McFeeley  will hear about some of this feedback.     On his show tomorrow do you think he will show any remorse for his rather rude line of questioning  .    I don't think President Kennedy thinks  of McFeeley  as his "PAL".     McFeeley will probably bring it up and blame Kennedy for something.    President   Kennedy must of been wondering what was that all about.

You might not be McFooleys ''PAL".

I listened to it. (hated to give it the one more click he wanted).  I think he was trying too hard to make it a light and breezy feel and failed at it.  When he could have made things UND positive he made them 'well NDSU...' in sentiment.

I loved Kennedy's line about UND and NDSU both having their strengths and just left it with the Law School and Med School.  Mcfeely got stuck on it.  Kind of a Drop the Mic.

Two questions McFeely asked struck me as quite odd, especially considering Mr. Kennedy was just named UND President yesterday.

1. Some people asked me to ask you how much classroom time do you have? - MM, do just a little research. Great answer by Mr. Kennedy to this one.

2. What's your relationship with the Stste Board of Higher Ed and the ND Legislators? -  after knowing them maybe a month ?

Why stop at Klobuchar?  How about Al Franken?

Klobuchar defeated  Kennedy.   Franken defeated Coleman and McFadden,  I believe.

Heard back from him

when he has no intelligent comeback he said okey dokie?

When all he said was okey dokie, that means he didn't have a comeback because he knew he was wrong.   Will he than offer a modest apology tomorrow?  We will see tomorrow.

Yes, Franken defeated Coleman when he picked up an extra 400-500 votes after the election.

He is going to love that he got "hate mail" and tell everyone on radio today.

That was nothing more than a shock jock type of interview.  Tried to be funny and light but in turn it ruined the interview when people actually wanted to get to know the guy.

Very much aware of those election results as I voted in them.  You completely missed the joke.  Today's Democrats pretty much view anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders as a "right wing nut job."

No, I won't. I refuse to listen*.

*That hurts McFeely the most.

The problem is Joe "Public" listens to this.  I know he does it for ratings but he needs to get called out his bull !@#$ as well.

If not, than UND needs to stop giving him the time of day.

I find the amount of support a proclaimed socialist is getting to be alarming.  Lot of disgruntled youth out there.  There's your transformation under O'Bummer.

See, blaming Obama for that fundamentally doesn't make any sense.  These kinds of "movements" are reactionary.  The Tea Party was a reaction to big government that really coalesced during the ACA battles.  I could say that the Bernie socialists (not actual socialists) are a reaction to the Tea Party or GWB, but in reality I think it goes deeper, and back to Reagan.  There was a point in this country where capitalism was this great force that raised all boats.  Despite the rather ruthless nature of it, there was a sort of social construct that existed where the result was the semblance of a balanced class system.  Especially in the 80s, coincident with the failed trickle down economics ideas, there was this shift where greed really just took over in full force.  The great example is the transition of the holdings of public companies from a shareowner society to a shareholder society.  The companies ceased to matter and only the bottom line was the ticket.  The next quarter's earnings were paramount. Stock prices go up and CEOs get paid when workforce are slashed, because people were no longer seen as assets, but liabilities.  And of course offshoring and automation chipped away at jobs.  From that point in the Reagan years this economy has grown primarily on bubbles.  The tech bubble during Clinton, housing bubble during Bush, and now Fed manipulation during Obama.  We have been harmed by a dual edged sword of demographics and shortsightedness from the business community.  And as we move forward, we are seeing the ugly warts of US capitalism and there is a blowback to that.  I don't support Bernie because I don't find his plans plausible, but I am not going to rag on those who are spotting this failing economic system and calling it out.
