Maybe he plays at safety, but if he isn't a solid contributor there why not trade a year or mediocre play for a year as a fifth year senior, especially for kid that young?Good points. I just wonder how you sell it to a kid who played quite a bit this year. Does he see it as a demotion; will he take to the idea and position well. Interesting...Very interesting Can't say enough that I am just happy that UND Football is getting back to being competitive. I'm already so pumped to see what these guys do next season. I just hope there is more hype in Grand Forks to get the Stadium full. If the Alerus can get back to full AND the team puts together a strong season, then this program could be well on its way to being back to where is was. It would get loud in there. thats one of the problems with the new weight room -- its such a large space that its hard to get it loud and get the atmosphere just right. I'm not read to say "easily" after the curb stomping we got from Montana, but our secondary should definitely be much better next season. What I really like is that our toughest opponents next year are at home, which is great.. Also I think this team learned a lot after losing to Idaho St and Weber St. This team should be ready to play a full four quarters, in every game next season. Just need to beat Stony Brook and then be ready for a big time FBS game. If they can pull that off, then this team will have some serious confidence. UNDvince97-01 Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Our losses to 5-3 Weber and 1-7 Idaho State still haunt me. Weber beat us and Montana and lost by 1 point in Cheney. Idaho State beat us and had Montana beat in OT. When we entered the Big Sky in our first year in 2012, Portland State (2-6), Weber State (2-6) and Idaho State (0-8) were a combined 4-20 in BSC play. Last year, Idaho State went 6-2 in BSC play and made the playoffs. This year, Weber St went 5-3 in BSC play and Portland St finished 2nd at 6-2 in BSC play and got a seed. Crazy.
