tnt Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 You guys can pull excuses out of your asses all day if you want but at the end of the day our inability to win cost us a spot in the playoffs. Even with the injuries we were good enough to win two of those three in a row losses, but we didn't.We'll be looking closely at your posts from here on out to see if you complain about officiating, because remember, there will always be that argument that if they would have done this better, or that better, officiating wouldn't matter. SiouxVolley Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Yep, just sucks that we have to wait until next fall to watch more UND football. Really hope this team can work some magic and knock off Bowling Green next year. That would be a good win. Will have to drive up for that game, Lord willing. Is Bowling Green losing much talent? They usually have had good passing games. Edited November 22, 2015 by SiouxVolley Quote
UNDBIZ Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Will have to drive up for that game, Lord willing. Is Bowling Green losing much talent? They usually have had good passing games.IIRC, they're losing their qb and #1 wr. Quote
FSSD Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 E Ill got in because of conference politics. They probably took our spot. With Portland St and S Utah getting Big Sky bids, they don't have a yearly track record like EWU and MSU. Getting three "new" teams was too much for the Sky. Realize SUU has been in before, but they are not consistent and are a weak for BSC autobid. Fordham went 9-2 with a win against FBS Army. Realize they play in the relatively weak Patriot League, but they deserved to get in over EIU too. You need to look at SHSU also..... 7 D1 - wins - with no quality wins - the southland is a mess and does not deserve to have two teams.. 1 Quote
swl010 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Whats your problem? Read Dom Izzo's stuff if you need to. UND was clearly a better selection then WIU and EIU. End of story. Quote

Oxbow6 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 The only thing that the WIU win over SDSU did was give them a winning record and not a losing record. What proceeded after that win for WIU was nothing more than an early Christmas gift. Quote

Oxbow6 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 It's more about Eastern Illinois Really? EIU should be sitting at home too but where is the precedent for WIU getting in? 2 Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Really? EIU should be sitting at home too but where is the precedent for WIU getting in?They actually played a ton of good teams and have some very strong wins. EIU on the other hand didn't play or beat anybody. Our schedule wasn't exactly murderers row. Like I said before, the ISU loss buried us. Quote

They usually have had good passing games.I believethey lose they're stting qb, but will have a senior that started as a sophomore (in place of injury) I think they also lose some receivers and a RB, but I'll have to do some checking.Eiher way, if we can add depth to our secondary, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to compete. Word is that Klieman could be high on there list, as well as Rod Carey of NIU. That should get bvile cackling. Quote

2TRU4U Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Again.........precedent? They only won 6 games. There is no precedent... They are the first at-large 6 win team to make the playoffs. This is also the first year the playoffs have had 24 teams with an 11 game regular season. Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) and to think as of last night before the poly beat down we were in the playoffs with our six wins and played ourselves out with a one sided blowout win of poly!!! stupid us. 6>7 Edited November 22, 2015 by SIOUXFAN97 Quote

Longtime fan Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Again.........precedent? They only won 6 games. 6 wins qualifies a team for postseason. Eastern illinois should be thanking the heavens above. Not a decent win all yr but was credited for 4 "great" losses. I feel und was above W illinois and miles ahead of e ill for an at large bid. Is und the first team with 7 wins and a fbs win not to make the playoffs?? Quote

The NCAA can't stay out of its own way. Quote
Popular Post dakotadan Posted November 22, 2015 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2015 Did we get robbed? We sure did. But we left our car running with the doors unlocked in a bad neighborhood. What did you expect? I felt good about the win last night but because it was not unanimous that we would get in i remained nervous. Now we know why. A better example would be that UND left their Chevy Corvette running with the doors unlocked in a bad neighborhood. WIU and EIU pull up and park their Chevy Malibus. A group of thugs runs up, jumps in the Malibus and speeds off. All of the eye witnesses in the area just can't figure out why the f'hawk those idiots decided to take the Malibus over the other, nicer vehicles also available. 5 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I think everyone is up in arms about little or nothing. This team and program are headed in the right direction and it is clear that Bubba's efforts to change the culture are working. Two years ago, we were staring into the abyss of a 3-8 season with a head coaching vacancy and a lot of anxiety and uncertainty on this forum and elsewhere about where the program was headed and how long it would take to put the pieces back together. Now we are knocking on the door of the FCS playoffs and will have an excellent chance to break down that door next season. Bubba and his staff will use this as a motivational tool to get the team fired up and determined to have a true breakout season.Forget about 2015. Focus on 2016, the Big Sky conference title and being a seeded team in the FCS playoffs with that all-important first round bye. That would be more productive than bellyaching about being screwed by the playoff committee. If this program improves like I think it will, the committee won't have a chance to screw us out of anything. 3 Quote
