Anyone else not care for the changes made to NHL.com a while back,  I used to look at it quite a bit, now I glance and move on....   to Siouxsports of course

Ditto and Ditto.   NHL.com got a lot harder to find information ... harder to navigate ... just awful.

Siouxsports.com remains pretty much perfect.

With last night's win over DET, Philly is now 1 pt back of DET (with 2 games in hand) and 4 points back of PIT (with 1 game in hand).  Malkin being out 6-8 weeks certainly doesn't hurt philly's chances of catching up, either.

Hiring college coaches is now a thing…ADs everywhere are clenching. :)

Big Sioux plug on the Flyers game tonight! Talking about ND being in the FF again, good stuff.

Talking big about the playoffs and Hak.

How they talked with Hak in the am, and Eddie/Pierre said Hak was beaming talking about UND and how they were going to the big show again!

From five Canadian teams in the playoffs last year to zero this year. Guess the title drought won't end yet.

I believe the only other time no Canadian teams have made the playoffs.........'69-'70 season.

I like the blackhawks, but I think it's crap Keith only got 6 games for slashing Coyle in the face.  Not only was it obviously intentional, but he's done the exact same thing before.

Its also crap that Duncan Keith's 6 games is the longest suspension of the year.

When was the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup?  Edmonton like nearly 30 years ago or did Montreal win one in the 90s/early 2000s or what?

Tampa Bay defeated Calgary in 7 games in 2004 and Carolina took out Edmonton in 7 as well in 2006.   Then there was the Vancouver meltdown in game 7 at home against Boston a few years ago.

Canada's been close, eh?

Playoff teams in the West are set, but in the East....

It's down to Detroit, Philadelphia and Boston for the final 2 spots, with Detroit and Philly having the edge.  Making things even better are that there are some head to head matchups between these teams in the final few games.  Should be a great finish to the season.  Here are their remaining schedules:

Detroit (91 pts with 3 games remaining)

at home vs Philly

at Boston

at NY Rangers

Philadelphia (91 points with 4 games remaining)

at Detroit

at home vs Toronto

at home vs Pittsburgh

at NY Islanders

Boston (91 points with 2 games remaining

at home vs Detroit

at home vs Ottawa

The Red Wings and Flyers hold their destinies in their own hands...Boston needs some help.

Definitely not an expert, but I believe PHI must finish with more points (or if same points more ROW) than BOS to get the wildcard.

DET cements the 25th post-season bid in a row with a win tonight. Might be a good game to watch if there's no other hockey on. ;):D

*ROW - regulation or OT wins, shootouts don't count

Like the Pittsburgh/Caps game... will Holtby get the all-time goalie wins record (in a lot fewer starts than the incumbent)? Can Ovie average a goal per game to break 50 once again? Will the Penguins miss the playoffs for the first time since Syd's rookie season?
