For tonight I really have a quandary that I am trying to figure.  Do you play or sit Panzarella being its senior night.  I went and looked at his game stats against SCSU and he has no pts. against them in his career.  As a matter of fact the last 2 years, he hasn't played against them.  His defense is average and UND really needs the points tonight.  This team has really started to gel the last month with this Defense lineup.  IMO he sits, what is your opinion?

Send the seniors out right. The drought does not extend to 3 years.

Normally conservative, but we send St.Cloud down 94-E with a convincing 5-2 win.

Denver does its job soon after and we have half the Penrose.

Any chance we see Simonson or Olson tonight? I am sure the coaches have talked to #27 about his selfish brain dead penalties and he doesn't seem to grasp it? Hey, I know "battle" penalties are gonna happen and sometimes you take a penalty to prevent a play but 95% of his penalties do not fall into these categories. He took another last  night in a 3-1 game and I turned to my brother and said "the puck will be in our net in 38 seconds....I was off by 6 seconds. .

The "Hockey Gods" haven't been good to Luke either. He has taken 17 minors this year with one at the 60 minute mark of the game, so in the resulting 16 power plays our opponents are scoring at a 38%(6-16) clip. Also, 6 of his penalties nullified our own power play and 2 were matching penalties so in in actuality our opponents are scoring at a 43% clip when Luke is in the box.

We need Luke Johnson in the lineup for sure, but it is going to come back to haunt us at some point if this keeps up.

Did anyone else think his roughing minor last night was questionable? It negated a 3 on 1 the other way too.

I hear what you are saying about stupid penalties, but I thought Parks' first one in the second period was worse.  We had them on the run at 3-0 and let them back into the game with a pp goal and gave them momentum.  Parks needs to play smarter than that.  Speaking of penalties, I know we have more talent than St. Clown, so why can't we ever get a power play that looks like theirs?

I didn't get the best look at it, but to me it looked like he simply skated into the husky from behind and bumped him since he didn't see him? Obviously the ref didn't have the best look at it either.

I know that at times everyone will take a stupid penalty here and there, but it just seems to be an ongoing thing which is why I went through our box scores to make sure it wasn't just in my head.....it wasn't.

Most of his penalties are of the roughing, cross checking, and slashing variety.

very questionable.  It isn't figure skating. The contact was incidental with the flow.  It didn't interfere with a scoring chance or risk an injury

I can't be upset with him about last night's penalty because he didn't actually make a brain-dead move.  They could have called that against anyone.

If they're scoring at a 43% clip when he's in the box, he must be the key to the PK.

Are u talking about 27? The call on him last night was a joke. He has taken some dumb ones but I thought it was a bad call last night.

If only that were true.

I agree. But I'm not talking about one call. And even last night, we had the puck going the other way, he is behind the play was any contact there even necessary?

And to be clear. I think we need Luke for us to be successful, but this has been an ongoing issue. 6 times-killed our power play with an ill timed, ill advised unforced penalty and nearly half(6-14) these ill advised, poorly timed, preventable penalties have ended with the puck in our net.....
