I am thinking 45-7. But I would like to be surprised.

I don't think we'll win by that much myself.

With a 9pm start, the surest prediction is I give myself the scaries about a Friday morning hangover.

SJSU 37

UND 13

I'd love to be wrong, but this team was abysmal last year and it lost a lot of its best talent.  Yes, Bubba will be a marked improvement over Mussman, but he's not a miracle worker.

Only major talent they lost were receivers. Otherwise, this team is better in most other positions.

Not gonna predict a score because I don't want to temper my optimism. With that said, it will be tough to pull out a victory vs SJSU.

Sac State last year played San Jose and lost 24-0. Then later Sac State came to UND and won 31-7.

17-38 SJSU

Last year we had Muss this year we have Bubba. There will be inprovement.

LOL! He beat me to it.

I do hope you are right, darell. If nothing else, I don't expect to see posing and gesturing after a hard UND tackle on a SJSU running back...who just ran for a 14 yard gain on first down.

I don't want to see our corners starting off 15 yards and backpedaling at the snap. I would rather see them get beat than that. It will be hard for us to stay within 14 points but it hopefully it will be fun to watch with less than 50 yards of penalties, stay with them in turnovers, limited dropped passes etc.

For some reason this ground my gears more than almost anything in the Muss era - especially when you add the smack talk.

I think that San Jose relies too much on having a powerful offense. They lost a stud QB, their leading wide receiver and now their leading running back for this game. Not to mention their o-line isn't very experienced. 28-24 UND with the upset.

I have this feeling that people might be expecting too much for tomorrow night.    The reality is that if UND even stayed reasonably close in this game it would very surprising.    UND was not good last year.   They are going to be playing with a lot of new players.  They are going to be playing with quite a few true freshmen.  This is the first game of the year, one the road, at an FBS location.  This has a recipe for a tough evening.  Things mike get a lot better as the season goes on,  but unfortunately tomorrow might be not go as good as we all might   want  it go.   Some of our players might be a little wide eyed.    I hope I am wrong.

I'm thinking it will be a close game that goes right to the end. Of course, if the game ends up being a 3 to 4 TD game where SJSU wins, I would completely understand. Have to work in all those young players throughout the season before real improvement is seen.
