choyt3 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 You sure about that? He decided 2 days ago and it's not Hoffner. The hire is a great one though outside of the UND family. Think Old NCC ties. Rocky Hager??? Quote

fightingsioux4life Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hedberg to ndsu Dales ship is sinking fast. Is this rumor or fact? Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 McFeely is reporting he has heard it. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Paul Rudolph new coordinator? I don't know much about him but from what I have seen he doesn't get me overly excited. 1 Quote
zonadub Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 If Hoffner can't get past UND's PC HR dept, maybe he will catch on at SIU as Lennon's qb coach. Quote
UND92,96 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I don't know much about him but from what I have seen he doesn't get me overly excited. I would be fine with Rudolph. He was in charge of some pretty good offenses while at St. Cloud St. He could also be an asset in recruiting given his ties to western ND (from Stanley and has coached at Minot St. for several years) and also his time in St. Cloud. SIOUX29 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hedberg is going to NDSU as their QB coach Quote
UNDBIZ Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Huh? SIU's QB coach is headed to NDSU. Not sure why it's in this thread, but it is informative. Quote
gfhockey Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Just heard from sources...eliminates him coming here. Hoffner for oc! Quote
UND92,96 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I just saw on footballscoop that UND applicant Mike Cummings is going to be OC at UConn. Quote

Fargo Sioux Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 App State and Georgia Southern no longer play FCS ball. My point was that all runs come to an end. Quote
choyt3 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 SIU's QB coach is headed to NDSU. Not sure why it's in this thread, but it is informative. I understand all that. Just surprised. Same as when McDermott and Jacobson did it, too. Except Hedberg is quite a few years removed from UND. Quote
Matt Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I understand all that. Just surprised. Same as when McDermott and Jacobson did it, too. Except Hedberg is quite a few years removed from UND. what bugs me about this is that the ac as a program is now being viewed as a place you want to go as a step up from other fcs programs, and not just the bottom feeders. They can't fall fast enough if UND is gonna make real gains in ND. Next fall will be interesting. Quote
UND-1 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 They can have Randy Hedberg. Never been overly impressed with him or his offenses-QBs Quote

We don't know for sure whether he'll keep the same title at NDSU as he had at SIU. 2. If he does remain a QB coach, abandoning what appears to be a sinking ship to move back to your home state can be viewed as more of a move for family and job security than anything else. Quote

Its an area that he coached in for a majority of his career. I'd imagine Schmidt will be coming to UND to be DC, that is a position he could have had at SIU. Does that make UND a destination or an opportunity to get closer to your home area? 2 Quote
