77iceman Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 "we talked for hours", Zim says. Pretty sure Zim knows exactly what's going on, but is just keeping it secret for whatever reason. Quote

But it won't get any better than that until they fix this truly "offensive" offense. The defense cannot do everything by themselves; all these three and outs are killing them. I said this weeks ago and you got upset. The Vikes are far from a great team and everyone knows it. The line is horrible, the WR are playing mediocre, they have no running game and now other teams know how to play against this defense. Quote
Fetch Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 Why don't the best Athletes play the whole game I played both defense & offense in high school - lots do But in pros u have to be a specialist ? ? ? Do college players ever play both ways ? I can't help but think some of the big better defensive guys on the Vikings would have to be better than who were playing Quote
Fetch Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 That's it if the Vikings lose & they don't fire Walsh I'm done watching sports Jus can't take it any more Quote
F'n Hawks Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 They win if Blair Walsh doesn't miss the extra point. Quote

Siouxphan27 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I thought the inept clock management would be a thing of the past. But I guess not. They had two timeouts left, 3rd and goal, and took a timeout with 27 seconds left. Re. Tard. Ed. 1 1 Quote
77iceman Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 The Vikings season seems to be all walshed up. They need to walsh their hands of that kicker. (we could just keep going) 1 Quote

Cratter Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I misspoke early when I said UND had a high school kicker, it's apparent they have an NFL quality kicker. 1 Quote
tnt Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 To me, Blair Walsh with the issues he has had should be doing everything to show his teammates that he will do anything to gain their respect. Twice in the past 3 weeks Walsh was one of the last men back on a kickoff return, and he basically got out of the way to save himself. I would think that he would sacrifice himself to try to prevent a touchdown right after your team just scored. I lost a lot of respect for him at that point. 2 Quote

I'd think that Jeff Locke can handle the 4th down scenarios, but yes...that's what I was getting at as well. I hope they have someone in place and they're not just going to wing it this week! I know they brought in something like 6 punters last week, so I'd assume that they have one of them pretty much signed by now? 1 Quote

I meant if they are in field goal range and it's 4th down and they have to go for it because they don't have a kicker because they didn't have a replacement lined up. But I think we are on the same page on this. I imagine they have someone they want and haven't announced it yet. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Holy crap. I barely hear the whisper of ... "Kai Forbath" ... so I go and look to see where Forbath's at and his Wikipedia page is already updated! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai_Forbath EDIT: And now it's been edited back to not say "Minnesota Vikings" already.
