A detached retina in never a good thing. My opinion is he had a scleral buckle since the first 2 procedures didn't take either via a gas bubble and/or laser. His visual prognosis depends on if the macula was "on" or "off" before he had this last surgery. .......and no I didn't sleep at a HIE last night.
