nodakvindy Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 what a rally to finish it off, 6 straight points. Way to go, UND! Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Yeah yeah!! What a game. Got to watch the end of it. Nice job! Quote
southpaw Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 wow... really regretting not making the trip up to Greeley now. What a great finish! 3 straight sets and 6 straight points in the final set to win the match. UND is still undefeated in Big Sky play! Quote
nodak651 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 This team just flat out has "it". Started watching at the end of second set and I'm speachless... Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Which sport at UND is the most exciting and probably the most talented? Basketball, football, hockey......nope!! It's volleyball!! Great comeback by our phenomenal team tonight!!! Quote
southpaw Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Some very complimentary comments from the UNC coach. Says UND has really become a championship calibre team. She wasn't surprised by how well the girls turned it around because of the skill on UND. Quote
nodak651 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 This team needs their own page on ss.com 1 Quote
gfhockey Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 hardee for president! get home to pump up the football guys before the game and during the game! Quote
siouxhockeyfan11 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 This team needs their own page on ss.com There's a 10 page thread for the entire season, I think it is safe for now. The big sky tv webcast was great, got to catch the last half of the game. Awesome win ladies. Quote
Dustin Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Let's give the girls a nice welcome home party this Thursday night, and again Saturday afternoon! If I remember correctly, UND did not beat UNC last season, so this was sweet on multiple levels. Quote
bincitysioux Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Amazing what a top notch facility and a top notch coach will do for a program. Volleyball was horrible for 25 years before the Sioux Center and then Ashlee Hardee came along. And this program is experiencing its greatest success in its history at a much more difficult level of play than it participated in for its first 25 years................. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 The ISU game showed me that we were an improved product that could finish in the top 3 The UNC game showed me that we have a team that can win the whole thing. We need a transcript of what Hardee said between set 2 and 3, because whatever adjustment, encouragement, etc was said worked. It almost was like if they got the first set, they knew they would get to set 5 and then win. UND made the plays (and got the lucky bounces, nothing was luckier than Ronnie's kill late in set 5) that a championship team usually gets. Also following the model of stealing one on the road against a conference favorite (yes, I know now 1-5 but picked 3rd in conference). UNC must be besides themselves after dropping that one, while still a lot of time to turn things around you can pretty much kiss their chances of winning the regular season title good bye (they would need to win out, which is very unlikely considering they still need to play PSU x2, @ISU, NAU x2, and come here). They will be dangerous however should they make the post-season, no team wants to draw them. Things don't get easier as they get PSU in their house next Thurs. Speaking of, 2 big weekends ahead to finish the first half of conference play. A first place battle looms with PSU on Saturday, provided we take care of business of a pesky EWU squad. Conference Standings as of 10/8 UND 6-0 NAU 5-1 PSU 5-1 ISU 4-2 SAC 3-3 MON 3-3 EWU 3-3 UNC 1-5 WEB 1-5 MSU 1-5 SUU 1-5 Conference matchups for 10/10-12 10/10 EWU @ UND PSU @ UNC ISU @ WEB 10/11 SUU @ MON SAC @ WEB NAU @ MSU 10/12 PSU @ UND EWU @ UNC NAU @ MON SUU @ MSU SAC @ ISU Quote
108498 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I had the chance to skype the team after the game, but I was speechless. Great win there girls. Can't wait to get back to the Betty Thursday night. Quote
