Where did all the foodies go?   Chino Latino is finally OPEN in the old Scottys Deli location (drive through only for now) but it's totally worth a try.   Best of Steers and the Steers Food Truck food plus some new items in a much better located, MUCH BETTER named and branded restaurant.

Little awkward with the low drive-up menu - a passenger might have to get out of the car but the staff is patient and happy to answer questions.   Takes a little time but we got a couple extras ordering while bantering with the staff - they're great!

Unique and tasty food - don't know what to get try the Korean BBQ Chicken and a couple Samosas to start.  Lots of international options so plenty to explore in future visits.

FINALLY - Well done Elias Dean!   Look up their Facebook for his story about arriving in the US with $200 in his pocket and paying that up front for just rent.   He went to work at McDonald's for his first job and now he owns a restaurant right beside the place where he got his start.   An inspiring story of the American dream for a hardworking entrepreneur.

Agree, thread has been asleep for awhile. Definitely want to try that place. Always enjoy Steers when they are at the Farmers Market. Love the different ethnic choices coming to town. Chino Latino, House of Punjab and Steers. Need more places like these. Would like to see them reach out to the community more with more info on what they serve and what it is they serve. Most things on the menus are unfamiliar with people. I just order and try.

So Chino Latino is actually Steers?

Orange is a typo.
I count three typos (letter reverses), two spelling errors, and a swing and miss (mein).

Silvered almonds are silvered almonds, but I can't claim that's what they meant.

And I never read menus that closely. (They're always wrong to what you actually get.)

Drove by the old Steers restaurant on South Washington tonight and it's been taken over by a restaurant called "Taste of Himalayas" (basically Indian but with some different stuff) and the parking lot was FULL!   By full I mean 8-10 cars but way more than I ever saw at Steers.   Anyone try it yet?

House of Punjab is doing great business - Steers/aka/CHINO LATINO is doing Indian/Asian fusion food that is amazing - GLAD to see GF tastes are changing to more than just another Burger/Grinder joint.

PS - That being said we picked up Parrots Cay takeout tonight and it was FANTASTIC!   We ordered takeout because we thought we'd never get a table on a friday night but there actually several tables open at 6:30 - suprising
