AZSIOUX Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 @Russostrib: Zach Parise will miss tonight's #mnwild game. His dad, J.P., is not doing well and he'll be at his side tonight Quote
AZSIOUX Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Top 25 NHL jersey sales. 3 sioux in top 14 in world found from NHL.com Kane Crosby 3-Toews 12-Oshie 14-Parise Quote
yzerman19 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 The Sioux family is with the Parise family as they go through this journey- my wishes are for peace and comfort to the Parise family. Remember that there is no Fighting Sioux All-American #11 ten years ago without JP Parise- by all accounts, he was a wonderful person- and through my encounters with Zach, he passed on those great traits to his sons(s) God Bless Quote
MissSioux85 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 J.P. Parise passed away last night at age 73 http://www.startribune.com/sports/wild/287918141.html Quote
siouxforcefans Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 May JP rest in peace and my Zach, Jordan, and the rest of the family find comfort in knowing that at least his pain is over. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 @Russostrib: Toews on seeing JP in Zach:The work ethic for sure, the personality, the love of game, commitment, being appreciative of what it gives you. @Russostrib: Toews: "JP was a very selfless person, and you see that in the way Zach carries himself on and off the ice as a player." #mnwild #blackhawks Quote
siouxforcefans Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Will Zach play tonight against the Blackhawks? I can't imagine he will, but there've been many athletes who went out and did just that. Quote
siouxkid12 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Will Zach play tonight against the Blackhawks? I can't imagine he will, but there've been many athletes who went out and did just that. Pretty sure he won't be suiting up but you never know with Zach or his family. Thoughts and prayers go out the Parise family and any other family that has lost a loved one recently. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Will Zach play tonight against the Blackhawks? I can't imagine he will, but there've been many athletes who went out and did just that. He was put on the non-active roster. They had until 4pm to make a roster change if he wanted to play tonight. Quote

scpa0305 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 nice article on Gregoire. He should've stayed his senior year. http://ism3.infinityprosports.com/ismdata/2013061100/std-sitebuilder/sites/201401/www/en/team/roster/ Just wondering....why? As a UND fan I would say sure, we definitely could have used him that next year. As a hockey fan I don't think his decision was that bad. I don't think an extra year of college would have catapulted him to NHL stardom. Either way his skating ability was his downfall and he would have probably ended up going through the same minor league route. At least he figured it out a year earlier I guess. Quote
