redwing77 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but it looks like Robbie Bina signed with the Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams club in april. He joins Jason Ulmer there. Where do they come up with the names for these teams? Grizzly Adams? Is their mascot Gentle Ben? Seriously... Quote
redwing77 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 http://www.ehc-wolfsburg.de/maskottchen.html Nope, just Ben. Gott in Himmel. Quote
RedFrog Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) Not my auction, but thought it was pretty darn cool!! Wish I had $50 and the wall space. Parise, Oshie, Toews Art Also has a "print" of the artwork for $20+s/h Just noticed that it would be coming from Shanghai, China....that makes it even more interesting, IMO. GeauxSioux Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Rick Wilson to be named #mnwild asst. coach; Finally, after several candidates and many, many days of knowing which of those candidates it wanted to hire and after many, many days of this blog sitting and waiting to be posted, the Wild's expected to name longtime NHL assistant/associate coach Rick Wilson as an assistant later today. I hear the i's are being dotted and the t's are being crossed at least. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 per brads facebook twitter Former UND defenseman and Grand Forks native Andy Schneider has been named an assistant coach for the Lincoln Stars. Lincoln's head coach is Chad Johnson, who also is a former Sioux player and a Grand Forks native. Quote

Siouxman Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I read this statement as he would have to earn a spot on the roster and has a 1 in 3 chance. There are 6 overage players fighting for three spots, so that is a 1 out of 2 chance, 50-50 Quote
UND85 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Has anyone else heard that Johnson might leave the Fargo Force to be an asst. at SCSU? Quote

MissSioux85 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Yes. Johnson to leave Force for St. Cloud State That's a nice opportunity for Johnson. I'm starting to feel bad for the Force. Three coaches in three years. Ouch! Quote
tnt Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Is this a recruiting tool for St. Cloud to get Steve's kid Luke in a few years? Have they no shame? Quote

passit_offthegoalie Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Just got my copy of NHL 11 with Toews on the cover. When I saw the cover art for the game online a couple months ago, it didn't hit home like it did when I was holding the game in my hands. To me, having a former Sioux on the cover of an NHL game ranks up there with having one win the Stanley Cup. Quote
