They are a different team since we played them last, in my opinion.

Correct, Denver getting that 3-2 Saturday night win in Grand Forks helped turn their season back around (despite not playing well that night). They got their confidence back to some degree.

Frozen Four Travel Journal:

Gino made the trip with the team as well.

There were similarities and differences between this flight and a normal road trip.

The biggest difference is the number of people on it. Immediate family members of the coaching staff traveled with the team — a Frozen Four custom — as did several university employees who usually don't travel. The band and cheer team also traveled on the flight, and the media crew was larger than normal (including four from the Grand Forks Herald).

My wife and I will be there. It will be our 16th frozen four since 2000.  The best was 2005- 2008. We just happened to get hotels where the players parents were staying. Had a lot of good times with Oshie's mom. Bina's dad, Kozek's dad, etc.  great time.

That’s so awesome! Have fun

I’m rooting for Michigan in the second game as I think we match up better against them

This is what I think as well.

The toughest teams to play in this tournament are teams from your conference. They know you inside and out. It's no secret that our toughest game in the 2016 tournament was Denver. Michigan doesn't know our team as well as Denver.

I also think Michigan is very offensively oriented. I think their defense can be scored on. Grab an early lead, play shut down defense and have Spoons cover for any mistakes and I think we beat Michigan.

Luckily, they don’t post on here though 🙄

Well, if I was a moderator there are a couple on here that I would like to relegate to the All Things Fighting Sioux FB page. :D

Unless you are referring to me?:0

Casually told my wife that we need to grab Alani Lime Slush for the game so we're drinking out of green cans. She was all about it. We checked 6 places in town but apparently it got popular quick as the new flavor and it's hard to get.

She called around and found some 45 mins away so they're gonna save it and she's talking a half day tomorrow to get it for pre-game.

Boys can't lose with that kind of effort from fans😆

Call it karma, mojo, whatever - keep it the same.

Mrs. Krustyklown and I are intending the same pre-game meal tomorrow as we had ten years ago before DEN & QU.

My playoff beard is long, knotted and snarly as well - it remains til they don't lose the final game.

Nice blurb on Zellers and Reschny:

https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/nhl-players-prospects-to-watch-2026-ncaa-frozen-four-hage-pohlkamp-reschny

Quote

What a season for Zellers. After decimating goalies in the USHL last year, Zellers forced his way from USA’s fourth line at the World Juniors to finish as the team’s top scorer. Add in an NCHC championship, an all-rookie team honor and a solid 34 points in 37 games and it was an outstanding campaign for the 2024 third-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche. The trade to Boston last year really beefed up the Bruins’ pipeline – Zellers looks like a legitimate top-six prospect. He’s quick, he has an outstanding shot, and he’s nearly unstoppable against college players when he has the puck. He had a pair of two-point games during the regionals – North Dakota will need more of that moving forward.

Quote

It’s not every day a recently turned 19-year-old freshman is a No. 1 center on one of the top-ranked schools in the nation. Reschny has had a fantastic season with North Dakota, registering a point-per-game through 35 outings. Reschny’s ability to produce no matter the situation makes him so intriguing. He’s not huge, but he makes up for it with explosive speed and elusiveness, making him a tough player to contain on the rush. He’s an outstanding playmaker – legitimately one of the best outside of the NHL. Reschny is smart, competitive and has all the makings of a top-six player in the NHL one day.

Mr T & me were able to finally check off seeing them win 2016, so will be living vicariously through y’all at an alum watch party. Last time in Vegas was the HOF game vs goofers. Had a blast there too. Enjoy all you good peeps rocking the Kelly green!

Great article on Kris Engelstad McGarry and North Dakota being in the Frozen Four in her city of Las Vegas.

I do think it would incredibly poignant to win a national championship in Las Vegas, of all places.
