108498 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago It was absolutely crazy watching the DU game today. It was almost as though cornell was moving at half speed much of the first peried and at times thoughout the game. It allowed me to see just how much faster the top teams play. 1 Quote

I don't understand why we're trying to take away from a 3-0 win, against a hot team on terrible ice. It's the 2nd tourney win in a decade. It's ok to just be happy. Seriously! It's so weird how this place is reacting 1 1 Quote

Some GF Bantam AA teams have had more talent than Merrimack. Not only that, some of those GF Bantam teams played one-legged goalies. The thing about being a Ledgie is that sooner or later there will be others up there with you, and you can call yourself a visionary. 1 3 Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I don't care if the game is 1-0, it's the tournament and a win is a win. Holy Cross!! 1 Quote

brianvf Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-hockey-practice-report-fighting-hawks-get-light-action-in Cmon boys, get to the F4 so Ollie can get back in there! Quote UND center Ollie Josephson is expected to miss Saturday's region final with a lower-body injury that he suffered during the National Collegiate Hockey Conference semifinals against Minnesota Duluth. But Josephson is making progress. He got on the ice and skated with the team Friday afternoon at Denny Sanford Premier Center. It was his first time on the ice with his teammates since suffering the injury. Quote

And this KV situation is bizarre his decision making is like a western ND high school team playing a GF team at state, just sheer constant panic. I hope it doesn't lead to him transferring But great turnaround by Jan! You’re objectively, mentally unsound. Quote

Cornell ended their season losing 3 of their last 5 games. I don't think they were 1000x better than Merrimack. Agreed that I hope UND plays better tomorrow...if they can show us that Friday night WMU game form, we'll be in good shape. That said, I've never seen someone be so mad at a 3-0 NCAA tourney win shutout. I think Merrimack had a good team on a mission and had been on a roll with a good goalie. After watching UMD beat PSU I think our problem which shows up more on bad ice or any ice is too damn many passes which take time. UMDs passing is crisp just entering the zone, but they they do not hesitate to shoot from everywhere looking for defensive chaos and to pick up rebounds. Several Sioux watchers made the same comment. UND needs to pass less and shoot more to create opportunities at the net. Trying to make the perfect play all the time is not productive against the top teams. My non expert opinion. 1 1 Quote

This has been the knock on the offense all season. Tough to change this late in the going. Just gotta dance with who brought ya at this point Quote
1972 Posted 25 minutes ago Posted 25 minutes ago Watching the Duluth/pen st game, I noticed how well both of those teams are at taking away time and space defensively. An area that UMD improved on, from the beginning of the year to now Quote
