14 seconds left, and you give them the line instead of making them dump it.  What happened to the “don’t give them time and space”?  Complete opposite of Western’s game with Duluth, where Duluth had the power play in overtime but couldn’t convert and Western scored in the final seconds.

When you have seconds to secure a tie in the NPI, you find a way to do that.  I saw that coming from a mile away when they gave them the blue line.  UND loses every game they score two goals late against Duluth, from the 5 overtime game, to earlier this season, to tonight.  Don’t have a good feeling about tomorrow.

Kinda crazy that Duluth hadn’t defeated us in their own ice in six years. Like I was still in grad school at UND when they last beat us. Since then I moved to Ohio, lived there for three years and now live in Wisconsin.

Always been like that. Can't afford a good cord and microphone apparently. One of the folks who podcasts (Wellens or Ciskie) should loan theirs to Fox 9.

Was thinking the same thing. I like the idea of going with Rickwood-James-Liv to counter the Plante line right out of the gate but then to throw Wiebe out there 4v3 was a mistake. Would rather have Zellers or Verhoeff due to his shot.

Only lost 0.11 in the NPI from the loss; lost 0.14 from our OOC opponents losing their games.

True, but they only had it for the last 20 seconds or so, and Duluth had a whole power play.

Zellers did score the OT goal against Bemidji while on the PP.

I didn’t like Weibe on the OT PP, but the bigger issue was basically everything else.

When Duluth got the puck back with about 15 seconds left in the power play, why didn't we pressure them while we still had the man advantage to get the puck back? We basically let the power play expire and gave them control of the puck for the final minute. Bad hockey sense by that group on the ice.

Feel lucky to have gotten a point after trailing for most of the game.  However, would have been huge to finish strong and take the game to the shootout; win or lose.  I'm thinking a big time effort tomorrow and a regulation win the good guys.

Side note:   My neice got the GWG in their sectional game on a beautiful redirect in front of the net...bad news is Minnetonka is their next opponent.

Our three leading goal scorers were on the bench for overtime. Dane going full Motzko mode. In all seriousness, it’s a nothing burger if they score and Wiebe makes a nice play. I just think the OT powerplay lineup was underwhelming.

• 3x3 isn't our game, never really has been.  I'm glad we won't see that in the postseason.
• Our PP really needs to get back on track.
• I know we're bummed about the OT loss, but an OT loss is a heck of a lot better than a regulation loss (for both NPI and NCHC).  Kudos to the guys for coming back in the 3rd to tie it.
• Gonna need a much better overall effort tomorrow, and I think we see it.  As Jackson said earlier this season..."good teams don't lose two in a row".
