Curious as to what happened with strinden behind the play

Strinden was slew-footed at the mercyhurst d-zone blue line. It may or may not have been on purpose. Littler thought it was on purpose and went for some street justice.

Good for James! When was the last UND hat trick?

From the Schloss gamer:

Quote

James, a senior winger, tallied UND's first hat trick since Riese Gaber at Miami on Jan. 28, 2023. It was the first home hat trick since Rhett Gardner on Nov. 2, 2018, against Wisconsin. It was UND's first natural hat trick — three goals in a row — since Brock Boeser on Oct. 21, 2016, against Bemidji State.

Took care of business.

Gotta say, it can’t be fun being winless for the season. Good luck to Mercyhurst, hope they find their first win. Congrats to their HC on a long career.

Love their head coach, classy man who has been in the game longer than I've been alive.

A season like this and you've got to take the small victories and build.  I would hang a positive on their shot blocking the whole weekend.  Those guys weren't afraid to put their bodies in front of some bombs.

And that’s a very long time!

UND senior forward Ellis Rickwood has been a great addition to the UND lineup. Upon is return to the lineup from injury, Rickwood has scored (2g-8a—10pts). This past weekend, he recorded (1g-5a—6pts) against Mercyhurst. http://dlvr.it/TQ8MLP

Can someone explain to me why we're playing Mercyhurst instead of Boston College, Boston University, Michigam, Michigan State, or Wisconsin?

Fair question. Makes no sense really.  You have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

It’s a good wake up after break, Michigan will not travel, so it’s not that they want to avoid playing them it’s just we aren’t going to Ann Arbor all the time. We have MSU next year and then a home and home with Wisconsin the following 2 years. BC/hockey east et al I think stems from the lack of consistency in hockey east officials. You can’t go there because you get penalties like Brendan O’Donnell’s two minutes for getting slashed.
